Huge and modern subway station that’s frankly been long overdue on campus! It’s made the whole university feel less isolated and tremendously more accessible for everyone. It may not have been installed in my time as a student there, but I’m just glad for how much easier it’ll make peoples commute/lives for the rest of time. Go Lions!

The new station has drastically reduced the number of buses in the area which has reduced traffic significantly. The subway is pretty straight forward and easy to navigate. There are also elevators on both the south and north entrance for accessibility.

This station is HUGE! Lots of open space and a wide platform for all the students attending the university near by. The art work here seems to be about sustainability as the concrete walls show signs of water damage. There is also a massive glass atrium which is nice since you can soak up the sun before plunging into the darkness below.

A really big and different subway station takes you in the middle of the university. Close to york lanes and not too far from seneca

Can’t beat the convenience of having a stop right on campus. Station entrance and concourse is absolutely phenomenal, but with all due respect to the beauty of brutalism, I’m much more a fan of the traditional subway platform. Stations as new as this one probably shouldn’t have walls like this.

If I do not know English and made a mistake, it does not mean that metro workers need to shout at me.... rude and unprofessional.

This TTC subway station is the best addition to York University since it increased accessibility for me personally to commute to York University for my classes before, and after the COVID 19 Pandemic whenever I was in Toronto, and not in the GTA where I commuted by vehicle. This subway station improved my commute by making it so much faster to arrive at York University directly from Toronto instead of the old commute that I used to follow before both the development of this TTC subway station and the extension of TTC Line 1 Yonge-University.This commute involved using the subway to get to the northernmost station of Sheppard West on Line 1 at the time to then use a York University TTC Rocket Express Bus to drive me to the York University Keele Campus from Sheppard West station. This old commute added a lot of time to my commute since I had to transfer from subway to bus, which means that there were two different schedules that I had to take into account in order to plan my commute properly such that I arrive on campus on time for my courses.I am very happy that this subway station was created because my commute is so much simpler, faster, safer, more secure, more efficient, and more reliable overall. It also makes the York University campus feel less isolated with increased accessibility from this station, which means that it makes the campus feel more connected to the city since you can now travel to York University Keele Campus by car, by bus, or by subway, not to mention that this subway station drastically reduced the number of buses that are needed to transport students to and from York University. If they can only create another direct subway connection line to the Glendon and Markham Campuses in the future to reduce the hassle and stress of commuting for all undergraduate and graduate students, that would be a great idea to consider as it would definitely make the lives of those students that much better, and would encourage more students to attend this university with the added convenience of the subway transportation to and from campus. The high tech architecture of this TTC subway station with fancy glass panels is like no other TTC subway station I have ever seen on any other TTC line, and the TTC subway station is so spacious and large, which makes you look forward to visiting this station whenever you are commuting in the morning, afternoon, or in the evening since they are not like the other stations across the city, which for the most part are quite boring, dull, dry, and very unappealing with no interesting architecture used to create station. This station is located where the former York University Bus Loop used to be at the major intersection of Ian MacDonald and York Boulevard, and it is perfectly located on campus such that it is a close walking distance to the York Lanes Mall and York University Bookstore on campus, Vari Hall, Accolade East and West Buildings, Kaneff Tower, the Seymour Schulich School of Business Building, and the York University Registrar's Office and Student Services Parking Garage. The close walking distances to and from the station helped me get to and from my classes efficiently, and it helped me access my parked car on campus easily if I decided to drive my vehicle to campus for that day while also using the subway to visit other parts of the city on my breaks.Overall, to conclude my review, I would highly recommend this subway station to anyone who lives within Toronto as it is the most simple, economical, and most efficient way to travel to and from York University Keele Campus with the most minimal number of interruptions, and it is much more stress free than commuting by bus if you are a student who solely relies on transit and does not own a vehicle.

Utopian concrete superstructure university, with beautiful grounds, superb faculty and international students, especially outstanding Arts program.
