Lakeside Inn, Restaurant & Bar

We were there for a family event that was happening near by. Not too many options around. It was clean but a little dated.Smoke detector went off both nights without warning just while sleeping. Hallways smelled damp. Toiletries in the bathroom were just shampoo, didn't think to pack our own soap. TV didn't work, Wifi was spotty. Restaurant was never open during our stay.But we were just there to sleep and as far as necessities went we were OK. For the price and location it was worth missing out on the usual luxuries of a nicer place.

All the staff were wonderful and welcoming! Clean rooms and delicious food. They were very accommodating when we had to reschedule our trip from the Victoria Day weekend to the Canada day weekend due to an emergency. Will definitely stay here again and love that it’s pet friendly and they always said hello to our pup when they saw her:)

Rooms were okay.. Our room did not get proper room cleaning, the bedsheets were not changed. The food in the cafeteria was overpriced and felt like frozen pizza was served. Location is good.

Great friendly staff, we didn’t call ahead and didn’t show up until 5 o’clock and they got a room ready for us while we grabbed something to eat (from the amazing smokehouse you can see from the back windows) and came back in an hour to newly renovated and excellent rooms, the air conditioning wasn’t enough for 2 sweaty workers but they gave us a surprise cleaning and tidied the room up great for us!! Would recommend and stay again!!!!

Was up in the area for a funeral. Need place to stay, the manager was great to deal with. Had to see about late check out. I didn't get back at the time I thought we would, but she was good about it, didn't even charge for the late check out. Would definitely stay there again if we end up going up Star Gazing

This a thanks letter for two awesome ladies, Roxanne and Rachel work in here.My mom's car stuck in a place 15 km away from this place last night. Her car was out of gas and the car key had no battery.Me and my wife drove 3 hours from toronto and tried to save her. But when we arrived, we found out the car was out of battery. It was late night. And the place had pool signal.I was devastated until I found out this place. All stuffs in this place were trying to look for the Booster cables for me. And two beautiful ladies found a pair of those and drive 15 km to help us boost the car.I can't express how much grateful I am to the people and Roxanne and Rachel who saved us. Thank you!It was in mid night, I didn't see any view of the lake nearby. I see many views of beautiful heart.Highly recommend this place.

Roxanne and Court were very helpful and hardworking, the space outside was really lovely and the food was great. Awesome space to play pool and foozeball. We were going to stay at Bon Echo but this was so comfortable, the store is across the street and the park is really close; we got to enjoy the area a lot without having to do the work of camping. Awesome :)

The manager Roxanne was an amazing person, so welcoming! She goes above and beyond her duties! The first night we were there a gentleman was trying to get gas but all the stations were closed! Roxane went and gave him all the gas she had for her lawnmower! The next night another couple had come to make a call, his mother’s car battery had died up the road! So what do you know Roxanne runs in finds her booster cables drives down the road to boost the mothers car! We were truly amazed!The staff Rachel and Tyler were also amazing! Very welcoming and personable! Real people! This would be the first place we have ever stayed that felt like home! Very clean, comfortable and quiet !We would highly recommend this place!Great place to stay! We will definitely be going back!

Last night two friends and I needed a place to stay the night and we came in asking if there was a room availability to which the lady confirmed there was. We asked if we could see the room prior to staying to which she responded I'm not going to play this game
