Gaylene was super to work with - very professional and friendly. I liked knowing she was insured and bonded, and had a plan for any emergency that might occur - so much better than asking friends or family to give up their time. We felt very comfortable leaving our home, plants, yard and our little fish tank in Gaylene’s competent hands. Together we planned out how many home checks and what days she would come to the house, and she was very practical and careful. We will definitely use her services in the future.

I had just moved to Edmonton and was so happy to have found Take Care Home & Pet Watch! Gaylene was super kind and did so well with our 2 cats, she even let us extend our trip last minute and it was great to know they were happy and safe. It's so much more comforting to know your pets can stay home and not go to a facility. I got pictures and updates which was so nice! 10/10 service, I highly recommend if you are needing a home and/or pet sitter to contact Gaylene!

Gaylene is very reliable and thorough. We hired her to check our house and pick up our mail twice a week for 6 weeks. She did exactly what we asked. She leaves a sign in sheet on the kitchen table that she fills out every time she was there. Reported date, time of arrival and even a weather report for that day. We will recommend her services to our friends and neighbors. And the next time we plan a trip, after we secure our tickets and accommodations, Gaylene will be our next call.

Take Care did a great job of checking on our cats and home while we were away on a short trip. The cats were fed, watered, and had their litter scooped on a regular basis. At our request, we even were provided photos of them at each daily check. The cats were very content when we got home. :)

Gaylene checked in on our house every week for 5 months! Took in the mail, watered my MANY plants and sent photos of them, checked for water and heat inside and in our detached garage and did an excellent job! She is courteous and kind and trustworthy! I didn't worry the whole time we were away! She will be my go-to-girl from now on!

I cannot possibly recommend Gaylene enough to anyone who wants to go away and know that their house/property is being cared for in the same manner as if they were home.Our planned 3 months away turned into 2 years during the pandemic, and Gaylene made 3+ visits to our house every week for that entire time. She was so flexible and accommodating, even when we didn't know how long we would need her services. She checked the house, water, mail, watered the grass, put out recyclables, noticed any issues/repairs that cropped up and notified us promptly, and then was present for the necessary time to meet the individual and the repairs to be completed. She kept us informed of city works and things that needed our signatures, sent pictures and detailed information regarding any work or general state of the property at various times.Gaylene is extremely professional, organized, communicative, helpful and available. In addition to caring for the house, she packed up and sent us items we needed, packaged/returned modems etc, as well as helping us clear items out when we were ready to sell after being away for so long. She goes far above and beyond what is necessary and expected. We will be forever grateful for all of her help and professionalism, and that she allowed us to be stress free while living far away by knowing our house was safe and in excellent hands. Our sincerest thanks to Gaylene, and honestly, you could not find a better person or business to care for your place and ease your mind while away.

Gaylene ensured my home and mail was taken care of while I was deployed for 6 months! She gave me peace of mind while I was away and provided frequent updates. She also kept track/a log of what was done on which dates. Highly recommend.

If anyone were to ask me who I’d recommend & trust to look after my home and pets while away on vacation, it would be without a doubt Gaylene. She did a fantastic job keeping our garden & cats alive, and even sent us pictures to let us know the cats were getting the attention that they need (or rather demand!) which was a nice added touch! Gaylene is a lovely lady and it was a pleasure using her services. She is organized and very thorough and made us feel very comfortable having her look after our home & pets. My husband and I will most certainly use her services again!
