really enjoy this gym even though its slightly farther away than other gyms, the main reason this review is not 5/5 is because I over heard one of the male staff members, I believe named Eugene, saying inappropriate things to my wife when he thought they were alone in an area of the gym, witch she then confirmed with me later on.not professional as a staff member to be acting this way. was considering making a formal complaint with Krista but decided not to go that route unless it happens again. I also heard from a friend of a similar story but that is not for me to say if that's true or not.

While the facilities at the rec centre are decent, it is impossible to get your kids into the group swimming lessons. What are Westshore families supposed to do? The Westshore is rapidly growing and there is only one public facility for kids to get swim lessons which are impossible to get into. Something needs to be done to address this issue. We should demand new facilities from our elected officials.

They fixed the elements in the sauna so now it's great! Clean facilities, hot tub was actually HOT, and steam room.... Well... The steam room was decent, but they installed fluorescent lights in there and it's a bit much. Otherwise, and overall, a good place to go relax.

It’s a pool mostly designed for kids / families / light activities / sauna / hot tub time. Pretty abysmal for anyone wanting to get a good solid uninterrupted lap swim. I try to avoid “limited lanes” times because this just means there’s ONE lane available. With a range of speeds people swim at, this just doesn’t accommodate lap swimmers and doesn’t justify the cost to go there. Plus the water is too warm to exercise hard without overheating and feeling fatigued after a while.

Change rooms- no cold water for filling water bottles, there is soap to wash your hands in the sink (not even soap dispensers) and the toilets in the change room don't have doors on the stalls. Substandard.

Hot tub was nice and hot. Pool is getting old. The leisure pool could use a good paint job as it makes the water look awful. Starting to need an upgrade. Otherwise, the Rec center is a huge part of peoples lives here in the Westshore.

The pool was packed. (Saturday afternoon)It was overwhelmingly busy. There should be a limit to the number of people allowed in the pool area. If you like more room to swim, donot o on the weekends!
