Golden Diner gets 5 golden stars from me! Is it the best breakfast in the city? No. Do you get service with a smile? Not quite, but what you do get is a decent meal for a great price and a trip to the past. Reminds me of all the diners my parents took me too as a kid, cozy and quaint.

Classic diner - if you know, you know.If you're fine with mediocre comfort food served on old ugly dinnerware and thin bendable cutlery, sitting in saggy seats in a space that has not been updated since it opened decades ago, then this is a great place to come.Atmosphere is what it is all about. An unassuming place where nobody is judged. A space where regulars have come for years, where friends meet and families gather. All staff do everything; greeting and serving patrons, making conversation with regulars. Quick and friendly service.The ring of the bell when food is up. Bottomless coffee. The hum of not too loud conversations. The clang of a spoon stirring the coffee. Short order cooks hustling. People dining alone.Take out available by Doordash and other providers.

I craved a fry-up for brunch after a bit of a fun night and this place hit the spot!Pretty typical cosy diner and I was amazed how one gentleman managed the entire front-of-house so efficiently and still managed to remain calm & polite. Kudos to you, sir!As you can see, my order had a bit of everything (bacon, sausages, ham) with 3 eggs made-to-order, home fries, buttered toast & a pancake - just what I needed! Comes with a slice of fruit, OJ and some more butter & maple syrup for that pancake. The sausages were delicious & the bacon was nice & crispy. Will definitely be going back to try the other food!

Went on a weekend for brunch it was a great experience the food was prompt and delicious. I ordered the bacon 3 eggs and waffle with an apple juice and enjoyed it a lot. Place needs updating but other than that it's a great place to eat diner style foods.

Golden Diner
This diner is very old. Some may consider it a greasy spoon. Prices are reasonable, the employees have been there, 25+ years that’s what makes it worth it. it’s small and very quaint. Anytime we are in Toronto. We make a point to go and have breakfast there. We have also referred a few people and suggested they try it, as there is no other place like it in the surrounding area.
