I recently completed the 6-week potter's wheel workshop, and had an incredible time! The instructors passion for pottery was always evident, which continuously created a positive and supportive environment. There was also a great ratio of instructors to students, so I felt as if there was always someone to encourage and/or assist me. The entire workshop was a great opportunity to meet new people, learn a new skill, and it was wonderful to come out of it with gifts to share with my friends and family! Definitely hoping to take more classes soon!

The 'Build a Mug' workshop was fabulous. I'd lost my 13 year-old Golden Retriever to heart failure a week before and I was desolate. The workshop was my 1st outing since and the first time I smiled & felt happy. The staff were so much fun and so helpful. Even though I'm not especially artistic at visual or hands on things (writer) I felt I was doing just fine throughout. It was wonderful. I even felt like my mug looked quite good...their instruction showed me exactly how to do every step. I wish all teachers in the world were this good.

I have taken a couple of classes at Hands On now, and absolutely love them. The instructors are supportive and knowledgeable and I’ve gotten so much out of the little tips and tricks they provide. It is the first time I’ve been able to master the wheel! I look forward to many more classes.

Just got our make-a-mugs back and they are great! Thanks to the staff, they were wonderful and patient. I felt like I really sucked at this but they took time to help me and the end result is so much better than what I was expecting. We will be back to try the wheel :)

I took a one night course. While the instructors were knowledgeable and helpful, I wish we had a bit more time for “trying” rather than “teaching”. I understand the importance of proper form and technique but I really wasn’t expecting to master anything in one evening. I think their input would have been helpful if I was struggling or frustrated. However, as I was just exploring and playing with the clay and testing how my movements changed the shape and feeling the tactile sensation, I felt constantly directed to do a lobster claw or butterfly hand position. It just brought some of the enjoyment and fun out of it for me personally. Although other people may like the high level of input and direction so it is personal preference for sure. It was fun and I would do a class again. The equipment was all functional, clean and easy to use.

Have now done both the make a mug and intro wheel. Both were fun date nights !! Staff very helpful and motivating. You will not master it but you will go home with a mug cup or bowl. I will be back for sure.

I really loved this class. Not only is it a fun space to hang out and talk pottery but the instructors are great too, they really make the class special. I was able to make quite a few presents for Christmas for my family and friends, I look forward to signing up to future classes!

Love their pottery that’s for purchase, so I attended a Make your Own Mug workshop. Their Covid protocol made me feel better about being in a small shared space with strangers and I appreciated the mask requirement. Sadly, the class was a bit disorganized and we spent a disappointingly short amount of time actually working with the materials. I went in expecting to actually *make* the mug (wheel? Coil?), but instead we stamped a rectangle of clay with a design, then added a base/handle. I just feel the experience fell short for the price.

An awesome set up with amazing instructors! I initially did a one night make a mug and was instantly hooked and signed up for a 6week class that has beyond enjoyable ! Picking up a new skill like pottery is not easy, but the staff at hands on collective make it so fun to learn and teach you so many tips and tricks that you’re sure to be able to make some nice pieces of pottery by the end! 12/10 would recommend
