Oak ridges vision

Been going here for years. I like Dr Salima the best personally. The receptionists generally are very helpful and friendly. My only negative, is that their eyeglasses are now all designer brand and very costly. They used to provide non-designer glasses which I preferred much more as they are budget friendly. Since then I have had to buy my glasses elsewhere, but their quality of service has not changed and is very good.Update (3 years later from above paragraph):They do have non-designer brands but a much smaller selection compared to their designer collection. But now my biggest problem is getting through on the phone. I have been trying for 2 weeks now to try and make an appointment and/or put an order through for contacts but I can't get ahold of anyone through the phone. I even left voicemail messages. Frustrating. So I have now amended my original rating of 4 stars to 2 stars.

Staff and service are 5 stars! Selection is great. I deal with Frank and he will bend over backwards to get you exactly what you are looking for. He is always willing to help adjust glasses if there is a problem even years after you have purchased from his store. Highly recommend!

My wife had to see an optometrist urgently because of a sudden onset of floaters. Her own optometrist wasn't available and Dr. Porter kindly squeezed us in the next day. He's very thorough, caring and professional. I highly recommend this place. Thank you very much!

Dr. Porter is the optometrist for our family. He is professional, very dedicated, exam in details and also very friendly. Recommended for young kids. The office is setup very nice and the staff is there for any question you have.

Great experience at ORVC, the staff is very kind and patient, they go the extra mile to compensate for any delays. I had one of the girls there give me a free pair of shades as an appreciation for being a customer. I also recently got contact lenses there and even though it took me a while to get them into my eyes the staff were super helpful and made it a pretty funny and memorable experience. I highly recommend them to anyone!

If walk in, consider waiting 2 hours. Always the same excuse “ short staffed”.

I am extremely happy with my experiences at Oak Ridges. Dr. Porter is an amazing family optometrist that continuously goes above and beyond in order to assist the community. Janelle is very helpful and is amazing at picking out frames that work well for all face shapes. Janelle and all staff at Oak Ridges are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I am always satisfied with my visit!

Amazing. 100% vouch for him. Dr Porter is a great person, I came in for an eye exam and it went great. Best part was that he was very transparent and explained in great detail what my OHIP covers.UNLIKE some other stores he doesn't try to nudge you to buy stuff, I didn't feel pressured at all and i felt comfortable the entire time. theres ZERO hidden fees I literally paid 0$ for exam.Staff member at the front desk was also very politeAlso Dr Porter is a great guy to talk with, he knew lots about weight lifting and university.
