It was very foggy the day we were there, which actually added to the charm of the area. There are displays about marine biology in the lighthouse.

I was there for both high and low tide and the views are amazing. It’s an amazing place to stop and have a picnic while taking in the scenery or watch the sunset, and there are many trails to walk. I just love it here!

Open since June 26, 2017, this replica lighthouse doubles as a university lab and features 3 floors of interpretive panels and marine biology displays including a viewing deck. A guide is available during summer months and gives a free hands-on intertidal zone experience. Well worth the short walk from the visitor centre or you can drive out to the site.
