Canalside Restaurant & Inn
Restuarant service was exceptionally slow. Considered leaving but we had already drinks. Had finished them entirely while waiting for someone to take our order. Food was ok but not great and certainly not worth the wait.

Ate lunch at the restaurant, didn't stay a night as I'm a local.Service : 10/10, very friendly servers.Environment : 9/10 Cozy, friendly bar setting.Food : 9/10 [fries were a little bit wet, but the fish was perfect.]Drinks : Can I go over 10?/10. That was the best Pina Colada I have ever had in my entire life.

It was great food. Just took my mother there for Mother’s Day and had fish and chips. But the noise level is insanely loud… my mother who has hearing aids both ears couldn’t get out of there fast enough. With glazed tile wall plus tin roof all surfaces are extremely hard and all sound bounces around as if you’re in a tin can. They really need an acoustic engineer to offer some sound damping solutions

My wife and I stayed one night in room 2 at Canalside Inn, a large older space above the restaurant offering two queen beds. The bed was very comfortable but the room itself is rough and the floors needed cleaning (hair was obvious). Also the drop ceiling in the bathroom is badly sagging and water stained Two other couples that we travelled with had rooms that were newer, renovated more recently and were modern - we would have been happier in that section of the Inn. So I'd stay here again but only in a newly renovated room.

Let me first start out by saying I am not one to be negative or write negative reviews.Two weeks ago I decided to go to the Canalside restaurant for lunch.What a BIG mistake. This was the worst experience I’ve had in any restaurant.First of all, there were only four people in the restaurant at the time. We literally had to wait 15 minutes before anybody came to our table.When the waitress finally arrived, she was very arrogant and rude. When I had asked her how the coffee, her answer was we had no complaints..When my coffee and chicken wrap finally arrive to our table the coffee was not only cold but weak. The chicken wrap tasted like it was four days old.I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.-Perry

Canalside Restaurant & Inn
We've stayed at this establishment three times and each experience is fantastic. People are nice and friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious. The view of the canal and the passing ships is a great reward too. Ate at the restaurant with 6 friends and enjoyed the good food and beer. Special shout out to Greg for running such a great place and I understand more outstanding things to come in the future. Cheers

Waited @ 20 mins for drinks, after @ 35 mins had to ask where our apps were... Should not have to ask for more drinks then wait on them. That being said, the food was great. Did it make the wait worthwhile? Not necessarily. Hadn't been in a long time due to the service, this time will be the reason again.

Nice menu of reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff with good service. The food was quite tasty as well. They have tables inside or outside along the sidewalk.

What a hidden Jem. We just spent the night there, the suite (7) was spacious, very clean and way better than expected. The staff at the restaurant treated my wife, son and I, like we were regulars. The pub style restaurant was absolutely fantastic. My son had pub style wings, while my wife had a seafood meal and I had I had the chicken Marsala. This was a really enjoyable experience and if you are going to Port Colbourne. This place is much better than a regular hotel.
