Healthview Medical Imaging

I had an appointment today, am extremely claustrophobic. The staff were amazing with working with my fear. They helped ease me into it. Very compassionate, caring and professional.

Terrible service. Waited for a callback for nearly two weeks to make an appointment. When I was unable to make that appointment they where unable to tell when they could do another ultra sound. They eventually called me back 2 weeks later with another last min appointment. Than I was denied service because of my line of work. Also denied the chance to speak with a manager when I asked, And when I asked to see their policies for service I was again denied. Their best advice was to go through the pubic healthcare service. Best advice is to avoid this place at all cost if possible. They nearly cost me my job.

I used the MRI services at Healthview. The staff were excellent and kind. They explained every step of the process and answered all of my questions. The center is clean and comfortable, you may think you're at a spa not a medical imaging center! The MRI itself went well and the images were clear and returned to my specialist within a week. This is how health care should operate everywhere, not just in the private sector.

Over the past 9 years I have had to get several MRIs done at HealthView Medical imaging, and they have always been extremely professional, their technology and quality of imaging is very good, and I felt the price was reasonable. I definitely recommend them for MRIs.

While the service was expedient, I was disappointed with the fact that I paid for an MRI and assumed that I would be given a full image (of my own body, that I paid out of pocket for!). I received a report from the physician who reviewed it, however they gave me a CD which can only be read by a certain software program in NS (that only physicians have access to).There is no way to get a copy of the image so I could get a second opinion from a doctor in another province. It would have been extremely helpful to know this, so I could make a more informed decision as to where to get the MRI and receive a copy of the imaging myself.I'm communicating this in case anyone else wishes to have a copy of their imaging and is under the impression they will. Unless you are a physician or perhaps healthcare worker in NS, you won't be able to use the disc provided.

My husband and I arrived for his MRI. We had to ring a doorbell to get in and when someone (less than friendly) came to the door I was told I was not allowed to go in with him. The website says there is a waiting room for anyone accompanying the patient. When you pay that much for an MRI the facility should be a bit more family friendly I would say. My husband did say after inside the rest of the staff was excellent. Second time there.
