Air conditioning didn't work on a very humid weekend. Rooms desperately need updating - reno's are apparently in progress. $30 a night is a lot for parking. Location is ideal for enjoying downtown.

This hotel is dated and needs an overhaul. The rooms flooring shows signs of wear, the toilet seats are worn, and residential style. This means they are very low to the floor, and don’t flush well. The worst part is the water pressure. To fill the bathtub 1/2 full, it took 35 minutes. Taking a shower is like standing under the stream from a water bottle. Maybe this is why the toilets don’t flush well.Parking is expensive- $30.00 a dayThe room is clean, and the housekeepers are very pleasant.

Staff are friendly and courteous. Great location as it's a short walk to the pier and restaurants, bars, shops. Room had a very bad musty smell although spacious and needs some updating. I understand the hotel is going through renovations so I imagine the rooms and that bad smell will be gone. Attended a wedding and may I say the food was extremely good!

Food was great. Hotel parking is small and hard to find, and expensive. Elevators small and overwhelmed (convention). Our room had seen better days, but very comfortable- and they are remodelling. All in all, pretty good stay

27 & 28 degrees both days of our stay and the hotel refused to turn on the A/C to accommodate the uncomfortable temperatures. Apparently by turning it on the pipes may freeze if it gets cold the next week? So for over $200 / night we slept in a sweatbox who was worried about next week’s weather, great. They actually brought us up a fan when we complained further about the room temperatures, almost insulting when its so hot in the room you can’t sleep, so here’s a noisy fan to help ya all night long. Only thing that saves this place is the location

Hotel room was clean and bed was good. Decor is a bit dark and not as bright as I would prefer. For some reason all signage has been removed so it was confusing trying to find the hotel at night when the tiny plaque on the building indicates it’s a different hotel name! Seems they’re in process of renovating and rebranding. Not so happy about the $30 per day parking but not much of a choice and at least you get in and out privileges which comes in handy downtown.

I have been to Sheraton in other locations and they have been amazing. This one had the worst service I have ever had. The front desk associate was repeatedly rude and attempted to embarrass me multiple times. When I asked if I could use my partners credit card he belittled me. A friend also tried to pay for this room as a surprise and they repeatedly told her and I that it was paid in full but couldn’t reveal who paid it, and at the end told us that they made a huge mistake and it wasn’t. We were told on the phone repeatedly we would be completely accommodated by having an early check in as we were driving 3 hours for a conference and once we arrived the front desk associate said it wasn’t true. I witnessed this worker be incredibly kind to others so I’m unsure if being a woman or person of colour was the reason for the constant shaming. Definitely not worth the $600 payment and I will never stay here again. I will not be naming this individual here but I would suggest a thorough review of the way your staff treats your guests.

We just had our wedding here on June 17, 2023. We cannot say enough good things about the hotel and staff.Katie Evans the hotel wedding coordinator who worked with us, was absolutely amazing. She made sure every detail was covered, often reminding ME of details I forgot about!Their wedding packages are simple but EXACTLY what we were looking for.The Executive Chef Aniket, was AMAZING. Our guests could not stop raving about the food. Right from the antipasto, to the pizza buffet at 11pm.We had a renovated suite (the hotel is undergoing renovations) and it was INCREDIBLE.The bar and wait staff really waited on us and our guests hand and foot. And special mentions to Alex and Candace for dealing with a rowdy guest ;-)Overall, we are absolutely THRILLED with our choice of going with the Kingston Market Square Hotel for our wedding! And we would 100% recommend them on a drop of a dime!

Hotels are meant to be easy to find, well located, with good service and convivial. This doesn’t meet any of these criteria. Signage for the entrances were not there. Renovation says staff! One elevator is out of order meaning long waits. No signs. Renovation says staff! The bathtub is stupid slippery with non skid strips located away from the shampoo and soap dispense - first time I almost slipped in a tub and fell. Renovation says staff! So get renovated and make this hotel a decent hotel. It’s unfortunate as the location is pretty good.

Everything was pretty good.I do feel that they should not have charged $30 per day for parking. I feel that $20 per day would have been more appropriate.I also feel that the overal price was about $40-$50 above the cost that I feel that hotels should be charging. And take this very seriously, because I *will* shop for an airbnb place next time.So while everything went well, and thank goodness, no car break ins like previous reviews revealed, I feel the cost is a tad too premium.
