Well it had been some time since I used this location. In the past it was great. This time I booked a Pedicure and a lash tint. The man on the phone said he would call someone in. I was grateful for that, but did not expect it. On to the pedicure, the lovely roller ball massage chair. No liner in the foot basin. I watched them clean the one beside me, and it was less than through! No cuticle cream, just oil. Which I was fine with, except the brush touches everyone. No salts or anything in the foot soak. A previously used, unwashed nail file,When the Gentlemen was filing my big toes it was a thick file, and you need to hold it at an angle or it can cut the skin. Luckily,he didn't cut my skin,but I left my Big toe nails a little longer than normal,so he would stop. My other nails were cut too short. He attempted a mini 1 min foot scrub. Why everyone does not use Dremels made for nails,surprises me. Then he tried to slap on some polish,he had another woman who worked there do it. Thankfully. They so used to be more reasonably, priced too.They left me just sitting there, thinking I was waiting for someone to do a lash tint. I had had enough!My nails were dry, I put my shoes on, and jacket ready to pay and leave. They said to me would you like your eyebrows waxed

I called to speak to a manager (not for a complaint). I was promptly hung up on. I called back again thinking maybe I was cut off accidentally. Nope... hung up on again. Great business model!

I generally do not leave negative reviews, but I am disappointed in the service and quality. A basic nail fill and shellac polish is $55 (unless you pay with card, then they charge tax); it's $5 extra to have one nail on each hand a different colour. Today I asked them to put a bit of sparkle on the base of the nail. She tried to charge me $75.00. She claimed she forgot to tell me, and it's considered an ombre

Great service. Very friendly. One of the two places I go in the city. Always get compliments. Quick and detailed. Colour idea for those who like pink : try Piglet #174.

I have tried many places in HRM and this is by far my favorite. They are a bit difficult to understand and don’t communicate well in English but the work they do is always far better than anywhere else I’ve tried. I even had to go to them to fix the terrible job done by another shop and they did a fantastic job and did what they could to fix the nails with as little charge to me as possible.

They do such a great job in making your nails beautiful! I’ve been to several salons and this one is such a great place! Highly recommend! If you are the type who wants great quality nails this is your place!

EDIT: I’ve stopped going. I gave them so many chances. I really believed they were good. The girls do great work but the guys always rush and do bad work (jagged, chip easily, bubbles). After several booked appointments, I gave up booking because regardless of whether or not I had an appointment, I’d still have to wait 45 mins.The last time I went, the guy rushed me, talked loudly on the phone (another language on speaker phone) the entire time and barely spoke a word to me. I was going to a sales conference the next day in Montreal and wanted them to look fresh. In less than 24 hours they were chipping, had a bubble and even the acrylic itself was chipping! My coworker also goes here and her acrylic snapped off opening the fridge 3 days after! (She went back in when we returned and they said they couldn’t take her because they were closing early. When she asked them to please just fix her broken nail, the woman threw a pair of regular nail clippers at her and said they were closing.)Also, they don’t clean ANYTHING. I’m new to the nail game and thought it was normal. I mentioned to a friend who was horrified. Apparently they also charge way more than other places. Lesson learned.When I went in today to get them off, I told them how upset I was and what happened. They didn’t seem to care. No apology. Just “come back at 4:30”… I’m not waiting 45 minutes to pay above average prices just for you to screw up my nails again and not care.ORIGINAL: They always do an excellent job on my nails. Pedicure is great too. They are very efficient and do a amazing job. Yes, they speak to each other in their native language. I don’t see it being an issue like many of the reviews. And yes they will switch people mid-session because they all specialize in different things. I don’t mind at all. I think they’re awesome! Highly recommend.

My friend and I have been going here for years. They have had their last 2 chances; we stopped going in the spring.Our (last 2) pedicures were dreadful, rushed, and the polish started coming off within a week or 2. In the past, my polish has always stayed on until my next pedicure, approx 5 or 6 weeks later.After my final (bad)experience, I needed and booked a pedicure a mere 2 weeks later at a local spot, Mango Nails, where I have been going ever since.

My visit to Kylie's Nails & Spa was disappointing due to unfriendly staff and discomforting treatment! The staff lacked friendliness, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. The treatment I received was discomforting and occasionally painful, indicating inadequate technique and care. Improvements in staff training and treatment techniques are recommended to enhance the customer experience.
