G is for Glasses

Honestly a great shop, amazing styles and the staff was pretty nice when booking the appointment which is why I’m giving at least 3 stars. However, I came in the other week just to look for frames as I already had a prescription from my regular optometrist. I felt the gentleman (I don’t remember his name) was a bit disrespectful. Throughout my appointment he kept commenting on how my prescription made no sense and how he’s “never seen someone under 50 with one that bad”, and normally I don’t care about a little banter but he just kept saying it, making jokes about it and laughing. Not sure if he genuinely thought he was just being funny or trying to sell me on getting an eye exam there.

Disgusted with the terrible customer service. Snooty, rude, nonhelpful was just a few of the reasons I will never give them a penny. This business is doomed to fail with the staff they have giving “Customer Service”

The cutest glasses store in Winnipeg. My mom and I went to check it out last week and the staff and the collections for eyewear were astonishing. Some of the collections have a retro vibe, others are more chic... It catered to alot of what I liked.

I am never disappointed when stopping by! The staff are absolutely delightful. Helpful, honest and kind. Atmosphere is beautiful and it absolutely starts with the helpfulness of the knowledgeable folks that work there. It’s a lovely experience shopping there, always smiles and laughs to be had. Great customer service is alive and well. If you haven’t already, pay them a visit. Can’t wait for my new glasses to arrive.

Big fan of Dr. Fillmore. She caught an issue in my eyes and gave me a referral years back, and the doctor she referred me to was also awesome.Minor surgery corrected my issue and now I continue to see dr Gilmore as my regular optometry provider.She will also work with you judgement free to provide you with your pupillary distance if your budget only has room for an online glasses option like zenni. The last frames I got from g is for glasses were perfect though!Person centred care, and a very open and accepting environment.Also if you ask nicely they might give you a tiny hand (I can’t explain, you just have to ask them and find out)

I had been to countless places searching for my next pair of glasses and always walked away disappointed. I saw this shop one evening when I was out having supper across the lot and decided to go have a look the next time they opened. I didn't see anything I liked during my first walkthrough but then Bonni asked if I needed any help. I described what I was looking for and what I wanted to avoid and lo and behold, the very first frame she handed me was the one I ended up buying!The quality of frames they carry all feel and look so much better than what you'd find at the major competitors. The warranty on frames and lenses is fantastic. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Mel also went above and beyond with her customer service.My mother and my boyfriend were equally impressed by this quirky little shop. I'm a happy customer and I definitely recommend checking this place out!

I went there on a Tuesday afternoon as I found out they were closed on a Monday. I was properly greeted by a women at reception in bright orange clothing and a Covid mask. She was definitely there promoting the funky atmosphere that G for Glasses caters to. From there I saw a very efficient staff who helped me pick out some frames. He spent a good amount of time with me and was very helpful. After I picked out a frame I was sent to another person who properly fitted me for the glasses.The entire process was fast, efficient and professional . I just hope the glasses I picked out will be as good as the initial service.A very up to date place catering to youth but can easily accommodate the older folk.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 3 years old, and G Is For Glasses was by far the best experience I’ve ever had buying new glasses. A professional yet relaxed environment. All the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommended!

I went there and my husband, super nice place friendly peoples, DR. Jessie Filimore very professional. I definitely recommend this place. And fore sure this is my place now.

Love my glasses so much! Had to shop their selection a couple of times in order to really find what I was looking for, but was very pleased with the attentiveness of the staff and their patience while I tried on at least 20 pairs. I hope to enjoy these frames (by Valley Eyewear) for a very long time, but this will be my first stop if/when I need new ones again. Thank you!
