Nature in Mind

These classes are so fun. There are so many details that go into every week with the different themes and activities. Anne is a terrific teacher who can go with the flow like nobody else. My children loved exploring nature in this fun way and always looked forward to the next adventure with Anne. It is such an easy way for us to get outside. All we have to do is show up and she takes care of the rest.

Anne is the best! Both of my kids have loved this program so much. The topics each week range from scientific to fantastical, but it is always fun, engaging, and educational for kids and adults. For example, did you know that one fifth of all the world's mammals are bats? It was so nice to connect with other families who also value nature and the outdoors. Anne is amazing with the kids, brings TONS of activities each week, and works hard to ensure each child has a meaningful experience whether they want to join the group or explore independently. She always makes space for every child's diverse needs and wants. She is a real gem and you will have a great time!

I cannot say enough good things about Anne’s program! Getting outside with your littles is so lovely, especially in the winter when activities can be harder to think of on your own! Anne’s carefully planned, yet flexible classes take all of the pressure off and you just get to sit back and enjoy exploring, singing, crafting, reading, and especially playing! I love seeing how she brings out every child’s curious and playful spirit. She is an absolute bright light and wonderful spirit to be around! We have attended multiple sessions already and we have learned and explored so much of St. Albert we would not have on our own! Highly recommend!

My daughter and I love nature class! Anne puts a lot of work into delivering a great program every week. I find it’s a good value for money compared to other activities in the area, and there’s really nothing else like it. My daughter is a bit shy and Anne is great at making sure she feels included. It’s a wonderful program.

One of the best run parent-child classes. Every week you get to explore a different nature spot in St Albert, with a whole set of activities and crafts set around a theme. Anne is fantastic in planning everything and engaging with the kids (you can tell she's an experienced teacher). Some of the activities we've gotten to do have been treasure hunts, making apple boats, hide and seek games, and always storytime and songs. Very well run classes and a great way to get kids excited about being outside and learning in nature.

Anne is one of the most kind, sweet, selfless warm-hearted ladies I know! My daughter who will soon be 4 has been joining Anne’s Class for 2 years now and her little brother will be old enough in the spring to join even tho he has been tagging along since he was 6 months old.My daughter can not wait for Anne’s class weekly so she can dance, sing, learn new things and make new friends. Even I as a mother have learned so much from Anne! You will NOT regret the class and time spent with Anne! See you all soon!!!

This is such a great program! I put my son in the program during the summer and fall, and he loved every minute. There were neat crafts and he learned lots about the nature around him. Not only did he learn, I learned, and the adults get a chance to re-connect with nature as well. I highly recommend this program!

When I found Anne’s class, I was looking for something to nurture my family and our love of nature while tying in some educational aspects as well… what I got was so much more!Anne’s warm, friendly energy is so welcoming. My kids gravitate towards her immediately and always look forward to seeing Miss Anne every week.The details and effort Anne puts into each session is incredible. She carefully plans out a themed lesson that captivates a range of ages and leaves kids in awe.I cannot recommend Nature in Mind enough. The time flies and your kids will love every minute!

I can’t speak highly enough about Anne and her amazing Nature School program. The immediate connection my daughter had with her was so heartwarming and reassuring for me - this being her first ever school-like learning experience. Each and every class was so thought out, extremely educational, super organized and loads of fun. Her love for teaching, for nature and for her students truly shines through in everything she does. I can’t wait to enrol my youngest daughter and to continue my oldest daughters experience as the years continue. The experience that this program and that Anne has had on my daughters early learning and development is priceless and one thing as a parent, I will forever cherish. Thank you Anne for offering your time and knowledge to enlighten our children!

My granddaughter started attending Nature in Mind program 2yrs ago . I went with her quite often to the class. My grand-daughter looked forward to every class . I loved to watch her be so excited and engaged with the different/new activities/themes / and crafts that Anne prepared for the weekly classes . She loved the good day sing along song before each class with puppets and the story books that Anne would read to the children. She got to learn about new animals, birds ,trees and use her creative brains when it came to making crafts . Every week they got to visit various parks and natural sources in St.Albert . She made new friends. She learnt sharing is caring. Anne gets the parents n grandparents involved with the activities.Anne thank you for putting this Nature in Mind program together and making it affordable for families to participate!Grandma Lou!
