Recently I had the best hospital experience of my adult life! I had a hip replacement and every interaction from pre admission to day of surgery to recovery was great! Great attitudes and extremely helpful. Especially considering all the struggles over these past few years, as well as dealing with a new system day of surgery.Thank you nurse Aaron!! Always went above and beyond during my recovery.

The nursing staff are rude and the receptionist on the main floor told me I would have an appointment on December 5 2022 at 11:30am I get there no Doctor nobody I was so mad I spent $40 for taxi's for nothing! I call Physiotherapy to let them know I can't come in and she hangs up on me I am dealing with my kitty who I having health problems This hospital is not a place I would recommend at all the staff are terrible!

Absolutely the best place to go to for a knee replacement. Liked it so much the first time around, am going again to get the other knee done.Nursing staff were awesome, quick, attentive, and always friendly.Food was very good as well.My surgeon, Dr. Wright did an amazing job, and is highly recommended !!April 2016, Dr Wright replaced the other knee. Once again, a completely successful operation, with outstanding care by the nursing staff. Attended physio in Mississauga, and without exception, my recovery was faster, and easier than anyone I talked to, that had their surgery done in general hospitals. To me, it's clear, for superior results, go to a specialty clinic, and Holland is the one for knee and hip replacements.

Amazing experience. They run a “tight ship” and are very thorough. You feel cared for in all the ways that you should.

Bad experience from beginning to end. I woke up three times during knee replacement surgery, only to see the surgeon pounding on my knee with a hammer! The anesthetist must have been asleep! In the recovery room, the nurses were arguing with each other, because they were in disagreement about giving me a blanket to keep warm. My surgeon's administrative assistant seldom answers the phone and NEVER returns messages.....impossible to reach the surgeon. Was expecting the best care when I selected this hospital but instead got the worst experience possible.

Spine surgery. Two words that put anxiety into pretty much everyone. My experience at Sunnybrook started at 6:15am with a helpful and instructive security person. Pre-surgery preparations were efficient and informative. Surgery, well, I don't remember that bit :-)Waking up in my room all comfy and medicated was excellent. No memory of post-surgical recovery at all to be honest.The discharge plans were awesome! Meetings with occupational and physical therapists, and then, that magical moment when I get wheel-chaired out of the building.Everyone I encountered was wonderful. They all enjoyed their work and their colleagues, and, from my lens, it made my stay that much better.

Hips are typically supposed to last 10-15 years. I had my 1st one in 1997 which was performed by DR. John Cameron. I was very impressed and that hip lasted 26 years. Dr Cameron has retired, but before he left, he made sure that my care was handed over to a new doctor. Dr. Beeshma Ravi just did my Total Hip Revision and again I have nothing but praise for this establishment. Everyone on the surgical teams and the nurses and support staff are terrific. Should you be referred here, have no fear. These folks really know what they are doing.

First appointment to assess knees for potential surgical intervention. Staff was extremely knowledgeable, transparent and honest. Provided options that may be possible for my situation and provided me specific exercises while I await surgery to strengthen surrounding support areas! And what I appreciated most is that they took the time to listen and did not disregard my own detailed health knowledge and detailed questions, as some doctors do.

Just had my 4th operation @ SH....overall incredibly friendly and helpful staff.!!! I highly recommend Dr. Kreder....he replaced a hip and recently a knee. Great service and incredibly well organized. Their booklet and app have been very helpful with all the questions we have.

I had corrective surgery for a broken wrist that hadn’t healed properly when treated at Credit Valley Hospital.I thank the fates for connecting me with Sunnybrook & the Holland Centre.Dr Axelrod is excellent and displays a humble confidence that doesn’t speak to his laurels. His colleagues/students are all wonderful—and an international assortment of energetic, professional & enthusiastic young physicians. They, too, demonstrate a confidence that was contagious to me as a patient.The nursing staff are also the best. Their enthusiasm and love for their profession puts patients at ease—not to mention the humour they throw in when appropriate. They are an essential part of the team.The anesthesiologists—from students to teachers— worked collegally to provide their best. I was completely confident that they were going the extra mile to make sure I was completely pain free and at ease.Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to convey my gratitude to everyone on staff at the Holland Centre that I met today. Their care & kindness will stay with me.
