Ski Martock

Great hill. Not busy today and with fresh powder. My bartender is crazy friendly and very welcoming. Lift is Great but they make you keep the bar down until immediately unloading which is odd and took a minute to get used to. They also never slowed it to unload. Other than that, it's a great place to spend a day off. I'll be back for sure.

visited during the fall while my niece was doing training. took a lovely high up aside road for nice view of the surrounding area.

We started skiing at Martock at the very start of 2020. We fell in love with the sport and Martock is a great spot learn and get better. This year I've decided to take up snowboarding so it's back to the bunny hill and the magic carpet.The hill only has 1 chairlift and 1 T-bar so things can get really slow on the weekends.This year they've introduced several self-serve kiosks for rentals and lift tickets. They haven't quite worked out the logistics of this approach just yet as you still have to go back inside and join a line up, have your form printed off, fill it out manually, and then take that over to the rentals counter. Ideally they'll adjust this process in the future to smooth it out.

I visited first time I had very nice impressions. Martock is good place for having fun

It's a great place to ski within an hour drive from HRM and their snowmakers doing great job keeping the trails open.However, it feels like a total money in the last few years, aside from season passes prices going up every year, for 2023 they bumped the school programs prices by 25% in one year and added a 3rd party service fee on all online transactions on top of it.So to register you kid you'll pay school registration (25% more from last year)+ service fee, season pass (>10% more from last year)+ service fee.Reasonable? No.

I hope the Martock ski resort will provide a lot of places for people to sit in, such as restaurants. Also please prepare a lot of chairs to sit outside. I think the snow in the ski resort is of good quality.

Watta beautiful place. I've tried skiing for the first time. They have whole set of skiing gear which u can rent starts from 45$. There are different skiing options to choose from, as in the hills, for beginners to experienced ppl. It's a great place to have fun with family and friends

The tickets were reasonableThe lady selling them was rudeThe whole getting the skis process very easyI recommend buying tickets in person as you get a little more guidance in person. Also the online website seemed a little shady.Ski patrol helps a lot if you’re strugglingFood was great but felt like it was a bit costly. The portions were reasonable for that price. I paid $10 for this poutine and it came loaded. Fries were fresh and not too oily and were warm. Gravy is poured in fresh and the cheese curds are amazing. All in all great experience.

Better than expected given it is a relatively smaller ski hill. The lodge could use a boost in terms of comfy (rather than cafeteria style) seating in the lodge around the fireplace. Would also recommend that the lodge adds charging stations to their tables or close by - good for the parents that don’t ski and are hanging out for hours at a time and possibly trying to work while waiting.
