Forest Plaza Motel

Ran into a snow storm up here and they were extremely accomidating! They warned all customers to move their vehicles to plow the small parking lot to make sure everyone would get out. And they allowed my hypoallergenic pet which was fantastic. The rooms were just normal motel rooms but had great water pressure and hot water. Tap water was drinkable and they were available anytime of the day if you need help. Highly recommend.

It was white conditions, we called for a room as we felt it was unsafe for our family of four to continue driving. Only motel in town. Owner would not rent us a room as he only had rooms w 1 bed in them.When we said we don't care its safer than being in the ditch he hung up on usShame on you for being the only accommodation in an hour radius and turning away paying customers concerned for their children's safety.

I read a lot of poor reviews on this hotel but was in the area and thought I'd stop and take a look for myself. I met Sam and he was polite and helpful. The room is a bit pricey but when it's the only hotel in the area it's not bad. The room is very clean, the bathroom looks like it has been redone recently and it's been great for my 2 nights here. Is this somewhere I would want to stay on a vacation - no, but is it just fine for anyone staying in the area - a definite yes! Bottom line - would I stay here again? Yes.

OK this place started out good. We checked in late with no issues. The room was clean and cozy. In the morning we decided we were going to stay another night. I informed the front desk who asked me to come pay. This was approximately 1030am. A little after 11 the office was calling for us to pay. ( I forgot to say I did tell them I would be up in awhile to pay.). Anyway, I answered and once again told them I'd be a Little while. Right after this call we realized we couldnt stay another night, so we started. Gathering our things and I was planning to stop at the office as we were leaving to let them know we couldn't stay. About 10 Min later the phone rings again. I answer and they wanted us to come pay. I started to tell the guy on the phone that we couldn't stay after all, we'll the guy flips out and hangs up on me. Roughly a minute later this lunatic is at the door acting like we were trying to squat or something. He made enough of a spectacle that people were staring as we packed the car and left. When we were out he stormed in the room and then came out closing the door hard behind him as if to send the message you are locked out. This guy has mental issues. I don't need to be a medical professional to diagnose this. Complete whacko and totally unstable. I stay at a lot of these small motels and I give almost everyone a good fair review. I even go as far as to suggest people stay there. This place is way over priced, and nobody deserves the treatment and embarrassment we had to endure simply because we realized we couldnt stay 15 minutes after check out. Big deal, he got full rate for a room we only occupied for 9 hours. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE STAY HERE.

Older motel. Needs an update. Room was clean but had a musty odor. Got better after the front door was left open. Had a TV, WiFi, microwave and a small fridge. Was a bit on the expensive side. $125 for the room, but as I had to stay in Mount Forest for a funeral, any other option would have been an inconvenience.

Freindly front desk personal...Spacious room very clean.....the sheets smell good very clean. Good location for being only motel in mount forest. The bed was comfortable too.

I have stayed here for awhile now and I have really enjoyed my stay. The owners are polite and they keep my room clean. They deal with any concerns that I may have right away. I definitely recommendthis motel to anyone who may be travelling this way and needs a warm bed.

If I possibly could, I would rate this motel zero. I went in the door and was met by the owner, I believe. I asked him how much for two rooms and he gave me a ridiculous price. I told him we had a lake front motel in Owen Sound for $90 and he said, Go there then." Absolutely arrogant. I not too politely told him what he could do with his room and I meant it. I would sleep beside the road or under a bridge before I ever paid him one red cent. I have never met anyone so nasty in my entire life and that's been over 6 decades. Is this how he treats his family?"

Friendly people, very decent and clean rooms for the price and nice nice to have a motel in a small town.Definitely recommend this motel.
