Such a cute hidden gem of St. John's. Definitely come check this out if you're in the area. There isn't much to actually do however, it's just nice scenery. Lots of hikes in the area as well.

This is the mouth of the narrow waterway that connects St. John's harbour with the Atlantic Ocean.If you drive there, you need to leave your vehicle and walk the last 10 minutes or so. But the scene on the way was beautiful too.

Wonderful place for some unique views of St.John's Harbour and Signal Hill. Sadly the WWII Battery has been neglected to an unsafe ruin condition. (Apparently, WWII history isn't history enough worth preserving) Not much to do, but well worth the visit.

One of my favourite spots to go for a nice walk and looking for whales! The ruins of the fort are awesome to explore!

Prepare for incline hike to get here. Single lane with couple turn around spots before really narrows up. Great views not only lighthouse but ocean. No bathrooms available no gift shop. Several trails off side to go on or come off at. One lady said saw a whale.

Great view of the Atlantic Ocean and the narrows of St. John’s. It is possible to see also Signal Hill and Cape Spear. Fort Amherst is closed but you can see most of it, the walk from the parking lot is easy and slightly steep, but the view along the way is amazing.

Amazing place for a hike. Parking is available 500m down the road, and things are currently closed for COVID, so it’s hard to access the main area of the lighthouse with the bunker.

Just a 7 minute driveway from downtown st johns, there is a parking place and after that you just have to walk like 6/7 minutes to reach the fort. There is an amazing viewpoint. Both side views are awesome.
