New owner is rude and unprofessional.Pains me to write this because we’ve gone 5 years now and we enjoyed our stays immensely with previous owners Martha and John in the past.New owner David Saunders is rude, unapologetic when issues come up, and a bully.Don’t be shocked when you arrive- You are now required to pay in full up front, which we reluctantly did- almost $3000 in total. We had an issue with a dead mouse in our cottage- he wouldn’t even offer an apology to us. On the contrary, he felt it an appropriate time to request additional money from us as he was walking out with the mouse, which I thought must have been a joke. Not so- apparently we also were required to pay $20 a day for our dog, which we didn’t pay in the past, weren’t informed of before check in and never agreed to. When I expressed our displeasure, David’s response was to suggest we leave early. He then left a voicemail after we had checked out, threatening to take me to small claims court, for the extra money- a wonderful way to end our holiday.This guy is a piece of work.Spoke with many other guests, some had been going annually for 22 & 35 years, none plan to rebook.If you have a vacation booked to this resort, I would strongly recommend canceling it and finding another rental who will appreciate your business. If you still plan on going to rustico resort, reset your expectations as far as customer service, and I would get everything you are expecting- from rates to golf to payment date- in writing before you arrive.Sad that one man can ruin a well established business with his unprofessional attitude and obvious inexperience in the hospitality and tourism industry.

The experience of staying in a dome, looking out on the ocean was like nothing else. Kayaking on the water... And the food was exquisite. This is a special place that I will come back to!

What a difference a year can make!!!We having going to this place every fall for 20 years. I great place it was till the new owner took over. We stayed there in July for a couple nites and when talked to Dave Saunders about my fall trip he said he would honour the price we booked with Martha. After many emails and very little response from him he ended up not honouring the price or even come close to it. I even tried to call left a message and got an email from him saying he didn’t need to call me we can just email. That being said we will not be returning to what was once a great place. The prices now are double what they once were and no golf included. What a shame for a great little place

PEI has many golf courses to offer, DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE!!!!!! For a 63.00$ green fee without a cart, this is the worst Golf Course I played in the Maritimes. The grounds crew has zero respect for golfers to the point that I was not able to play the entire 18 holes. The manager did not seemed to care and advised me to play somewhere else......It's unfortunate the lost they encountered during the last hurricane, but if thats how they treat paying customers, they will soon be out of business.

This is a course under major repair. However, the fairways play decent and the greens were very good. The restaurant is the best golf course food you will eat on the island and can hold its own against any restaurant on PEI. The dining area needs some work. The staff were very appreciative of our business and gave us great service. Very family friendly. Prices are fair. Cannot rate rooms we did not stay.

What an amazing place. We golfed and dined here while we visited PEI. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The course, especially the greens, were in great shape and it’s clear that the new owners are working to make improvements. The food was 5 star quality. While we didn’t stay in the cabins, we checked one out during our visit. It was clean and well appointed and we will definitely stay here during our next visit. Five star in every respect. The family that owns the resort is working hard in every aspect of the resort. We were thrilled to stay in 2 of the new domes but also had use of a cabin. The dinner at Dahlia's restaurant was one of the best we have ever had - fresh, delicious and the presentation was superb. The staff could not be more helpful. I would highly recommend the domes and restaurant.

Enjoyed a beautiful retreat with the new owners Dave and Maridel, their family, friends and staff. The rebuilding after the 2022 hurricane is well underway, the new domes are fantastic, the food is exceptional in all its forms, the hospitality is out of this world.

Our cabin was cozy and had a primo view of the Bay! The course is great for understanding the distance you can get from your clubs as their are a lots of straight and wide fairways. Good number of par 5s, 4s and a few 3s. Navigating a rental from the airport to Rustico was easy. The staff and team are amazing!

From what I've read and heard about this place and the new ownership is very disappointing. Been going here for the last 10yrs and was due to go this year as well, we had booked it last year before we left. A call was made just to confirm and was told that our reservation was dismissed and a wedding was taking place. Spoke to the owner and was told he didn't care.( that's professional) idiot!! If anyone has a trip booked for this place I would reconsider going somewhere else. It was fun Martha and John while it lasted. Time to find a new getaway.
