They should warn you that they are going to mess up and play around with your settings. I use it for product photography and I am in no way an expert. Now I will never be able to set it back to the way it was. Camera is now behaving differently, even on the level of the UI and I have no idea what was changed by the employees. If it ain't broke (yet) don't take it to Royal Photo...

I recently visited Royal Photo to buy a camera.I had a lot of questions, I was going into the new mirrorless system, for the first time.I was greeted by a sales representative, by the name of Jean-Bruno.What a pleasant experience, not only did he know his products thoroughly, he spent over 30 minutes with me, answering all my questions and making sure I was comfortable with the answers.Guess what? We went to Royal Photo on a Saturday afternoon to take ID photos of myself, my husband and our 3 month old baby. I called ahead to make sure they would be able to take photos of the baby. The person who answered was very friendly and helpful. She told us to avoid white clothing for the baby which was useful because we had originally dressed our baby in a blue and white striped t-shirt.There was a slight waiting period when we arrived (roughly 5 minutes) but once the person took us back to take our photos, it was super fast! Very efficient and quick service which is what you want especially with a small baby. The longest part was waiting for the photos (5 sets of photos). It took some time but the quality of the photos are amazing. Totally worth the wait. Really happy with our decision to go to Royal Photo, we will for sure go there again for any future ID photos.

Honestly my go-to camera shop now. They treat you like a client, not just a customer. They take their time with you and go out of their way to help you out. Recently went in for a somewhat big purchase and they made sure I got discounts and rebates on anything that was available. Highly recommend over other camera shops in the vicinity.

Let me start by saying that I have been a Royal Photo client for more years. I rented equipment there and the service was always great! But APPLE, it’s a different story…. Today, i booked an appointment for 9:40 am. I arrive at the apple counter, and there was nobody there. Eventually an employee had to call a person …a man shows up 9:55, barely says hi…a woman who arrived after me without an appointment is also there waiting. After double checking in his computer for a few minutes (if i actually had an appointment) he finally asks how he can help. I show my brand new ($50000) macbook pro charger adapter. The connection to plug the cable fell in. He barely looks at it…. « hmm, we can’t do anything, you must have dropped or done something with it » i try to tell him, how can I do something, it’s just supposed to plug the cable and it fell in….he insists (like i’m 5) that i must have dropped or something…he literally look at it from behind the counter. « You have to buy a new charger » I have this computer for 3 weeks….I have been using Apple products for more than 20 years and because it’s part of way of living, i’m extremely careful with it. My 2014 macbook is in pristine shape. To be accused (gaslight) by someone who is suppose to honor apple amazing customer service is not something i take lightly. This is my first ever (bad) review because i don’t usually bother with unimportant situations, but this was just unacceptable!! Apple told me to bring it to saint Catherine store and they replace it for me. Save yourself a trip and just avoid Royal Photo for apple care.
