BMO Bank of Montreal

I attended this branch without an appointment in regards to several issues that arose from a different branch, as well as, the customer service phone line. Once I was there I requested to speak to the branch manager. Shortly after I was invited into Mr. Jose Lozano's office. He was extremely helpful and professional and despite the fact that I did not have an appointment, he took the time out of his day to not only resolve the issues for me but he also explained what had happened and came up with solutions for me. Superb customer service!

I don’t know why the reviews are so bad for this branch, but it’s the only one I go to. There’s never a line and I’m in and out in less than 5 minutes. They also have Jolly Ranchers. Why go anywhere else?Shout out to Christina who helped me today!

Opened a safety deposit box. I enjoyed the free coffee while waiting and I’ve never had a huge wait here. I appreciate that the people in offices are generally doing loans and investments, always appreciate it when I see one put down the paper and come help the line. Parking is easy, drive thru ATM is awkward to reach but maybe not for someone in a smaller car.My one qualm with most BMO’s is they claim to have these great ATM machines that spit out all bills but they rarely have 5’s since I guess most people take those if they are there. I would prefer 20’s, 50’s, 100’s myself.

I want to really recommend Isaac Wasef at this branch. Isaac went above and beyond to help us with our mortgage. He explained everything in details without rushing it. Definitely a great guy to deal with. Highly recommended! Thanks Isaac

It was our very first experience with BMO and I have to say it was Great!!!Couple months ago, we decided to have our mortgage with BMO through the Appleby & Dundas branch and the whole process was very smooth and extremely professional. Amanda and Ishak did an amazing job from day one when we had our first appointment at the branch until the day we signed final paperwork of our new mortgage. We were also granted free banking for one year which was very convenient!! We can definitely say that we made the right choice by switching our mortgage as well as our banking account to BMO and we highly recommend the branch at Appleby & Dundas with special thanks to Ishak our Mortgage Specialist and Amanda our Account Manager. You guys are THE BEST!!!

Completely incompetent “financial advisors.” Wouldn't trust them with your finances. You’re better off searching the BMO website yourself, considering when you book an appointment with an advisor that’s all they do as well, without actually knowing or being able to explain what anything means. Time sensitive emails go unanswered or replied to days later and when you go into the bank to get answers they are rude and condescending. Will definitely be looking to transferring my money else where

I went in with my dad to do a transaction and was told by the bank clerk she couldn't process the cheque we needed to deposit. When I asked why, she was rude and condescending to both my dad and I, making me feel stupid and I can clearly see my dad was upset. All she did was hand the cheque back and said next to the next person. Didn't offer any information on what I needed. Never going to this branch again.

I've been a long time customer of BMO, around 15 years or so. A year or two ago I opened a safety deposit box at this location with no issues. About a month or so ago I went in to empty it, and close the safety deposit box account as I didn't need it anymore. Everything was handled smoothly and I signed forms indicating that it was going to get closed and handed in the keys.As of a couple days ago I noticed I was charged for the safety deposit box. BMO's service to their customers have really fallen apart in the recent years. Be wary if you choose BMO as your next bank.

During December 2021, my husband made several calls to this branch regarding two separate issues. Not once were these calls answered. Both issues were time sensitive.The first issue was that we had an appointment booked to discuss RESPs. My confirmation said the appointment was over the phone. My husband’s email confirmation said it was in person. He called twice to confirm these confusing messages. No one answered. We went in person anyway hoping we were correct. When we arrived, it appeared that we were the only customers, and many, if not all of the staff were standing around chatting which possibly explains why no one would answer our calls.The second issue was we later wanted to make a lump sum deposit into these RESP accounts to maximize our government grant. He attempted to visit on Tuesday, December 28, but the branch was closed. He then called on Thursday, December 30 to make the deposit over the phone. Again, no one answered. He left a message detailing our request early that afternoon. At no point during that day, nor on Friday, December 31, was any attempt made to call him back and complete this request. Because of this, I was forced to sit on hold for approximately 45 minutes and participate in 51 minute call to get this completed.A family member of mine worked for BMO for over 30 years in customer service and let me know that calls are meant to be responded to within 2 hours, or within one business day if things are extremely busy.We recently received a somewhat large inheritance and were planning on investing with this branch, but because of this poor customer service, we will be taking our business elsewhere.Edited to add: I sent this exact review by email privately on January 1, and, of course, no one followed up with me either.

I left a message two days ago and have yet to receive a call back.Going in to the location? Expect to wait. Even with a line up there is only 1 teller on.
