Darkside Muay Thai

Been coming here to do Muay Thai for about 3 months now and it’s been awesome. I live in Guelph but the 20 min drive is worth it. It’s a great place to train at all levels, everyone’s humble. Darryl, Steph, Scott, and Rick are all great instructors. Check it out if you’re new or if you’re looking for a new place to train!

I started training here in October 2021. Since then, I've been lucky enough to also spend time training at gyms in New York and in Thailand. Every other gym I've visited since joining Darkside has felt like a bit of a downgrade in comparison. They are all missing something, and I believe that something can be found in head coach Darryl Martin. Darryl is a magnetic trainer and has steadily become a personal hero of mine - I could not think of enough positive things to say about him.Membership at this gym provides an experience that is second to none. I would recommend this gym to everyone who has ever wanted to expand their own idea of what they are capable of. KW is so lucky to have such a fantastic community of martial arts enthusiasts and competitors :)

Great place! I'm fortunate to have my family be part of the darkside family.Offering mauy thai, bjj, Boxing, mma, and hopefully yoga and wrestling. Darkside is a great place with an enthusiastic set of instructors that seem to really excell with the children classes.I recommend the mma membership.

Great place to train Muay Thai. Coaches are very skilled, motivating, and excellent teachers- there’s a lot to learn from them. Vibe is overall very welcoming and fun, I drove from Guelph because the gym was 100% worth the 30 min drive compared to what I could find locally.

Awesome gym. Been a part of the Darkside family since the beginning, and consider it my second home. Great coaches, great training partners, great knowledge. Always thankful for the training, and guidance from the darkside family.Also want to note that their COVID19 rules and precautionary measures are right on point. They work hard to ensure everything is clean and safe for everyone. Super impressed and happy to be back training.

This gym is a great gym to train at! I joined a few weeks ago. It is an ego free gym that is so considerate of new comers! This gym is perfect for any skill level, whether your goals are fitness related or to compete. I highly recommend checking this gym out - it has certainly been a very positive and inspirational place for me to grow. All of the trainers are eager to help you reach your goals regardless of what those goals are and they certainly have the experience and skill to guide you. Check it out - you won't be disappointed!

I have been training here since July 2020 and it has been a great experience. All the coaches/trainers at this gym are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Like any other gym, the harder you work the more you will get out of your experience but Darkside is still a great place to train recreationally as well! I would recommend anybody interested in martial arts to come train.

You're never too old to learn new things. If I can do it, anyone can. I'm 51 years old and have been a member for about 1 year. The team at Darkside is so helpful and welcoming. No need to be intimidated here. Did I mention how great the workout is? You get what you put into a workout but even more so here because Rick and Darrell take the time with each member to make sure they reach their full potential. I wish I had started sooner! Lots of great athletes here who are also are very helpful to everyone. Overall, a great atmosphere, a lot of fun, and a crazy good workout! Mothers send your daughters for great self defense, better yet, come with them. (You get to secretly take out your frustrations, ha!)

Absolutely excellent place to train. The instructors and students are more than welcoming - I was made to feel at home from the very beginning. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out, or already have experience - they will help you reach your goal, whether you are just looking for a way to get into shape, or are interested in competing. A great bunch of people - I would recommend to anyone.

This gym has given me some of the best changes in my life! Made me more active, more confident and more motivated to be a better person. Great coaches! Great Staff! Even better clientele to make friends with and learn from too. Anyone would be lucky to study/workout here!
