Sandbanks Provincial Park
Very nice park. We stayed in Woodlands Camp that is bit off beaten path however with generous in wood and full sun sites. Quite a hike to the beach but we liked the privacy. Well stocked general store and overpriced restaurant. Trails intersections should be equipped with maps indicated where you are and all trails should have distance making as well.

CLEAN UP YOUR GARBAGE WHEN COMING HERE! I can't express that enough! The beach is not your garbage can.The amount of garbage that I clean up here from other people is sad. Also, please I can't address this enough. Don't throw things at the wildlife. I have seen kids throw things at sea gulls well the parents have watched and I understand they can be annoying but no need to potentially hurt them.Sandbanks is a great provincial park and beach and very big as well. They have a dog beach area as well in case you have a dog! :)You can also camp here if that is your vibe! And they have nice camp sites. They also have bathrooms and changerooms here. The sunsets here are lovely to watch and you don't need to bring water shoes. As the ground is not rocky in the water. Just be aware there is Zebra Mussel shells on the beach but very rarely in the water. Zebra Mussels can be quite sharp.Avoid bring glass to the beach as some people do. (Such as, glass bottles) as if it breaks you potentially can end up hurting someone when they step on it with their bare feet.I hope my review isn't to bossy. I am rather saying this stuff to remind people to think of others, human or not.And be respectful that you are sharing this space with others.

Great Beach with wide soft sand and clear waters. Some days are wavy some days are flat. Worth the 4-Hour Drive from Montreal. You can book a day pass or Camp But be sure to book in advance as they sell out easily. There are a few beaches to choose from. But be sure to visit the Dune Beach to walk on the massive sand dunes before you head home. They also have a dog beach at Outlet

Nice vacation with kids.Beach, hiking trails, camping sites are different, some are private, some are close to the beach but open, for everyone's preference.

Loved this park! It is HUGE! The beach is massive with a great dog beach as well. Can get very busy however we didn't have any issues. We had a site in a forested area, which was great, however some of the field sites not in the forest didn't feel as private.

Visited a few years ago, was absolutely beautiful. Weather was a bit chilling but spent hours walking along the sand. I'll be sure to visit again this year

Sandbanks Provincial Park
View-wise it is breathtaking! Anyone who enjoys beaches or swimming or open views or fresh air from the lake won’t be disappointed! The water is not deep, perfect for family with kids. It’s already warm in the shallow end at the end of June.Facility-wise, the park has campgrounds with shady and open surroundings, washrooms and showers with hot water as all provincial parks do in Ontario. The water temperature and faucet can use some work, but generally functional and useful.

Beautiful sandy beach. Water was a bit cold but was expected at the end of June. Kids had a blast in the waves.

We spent three nights at Sandbanks in the Woodlands section. As the name implies this area is heavily wooded providing lots of shade. The outer rim provides more privacy. The comfort station was well maintained, as well as the campground and beach. If you’re into kayaking or canoeing, I highly recommend doing the channel that connects East Lake to Lake Ontario. The one disappointment was there was very little wildlife, accept for beautiful Swans. If you’re into bicycling be sure to bring your bicycles, as the roads through the park are paved. There are no lifeguards.

Went there to enjoy the beach with dunes but I was not so happy with the experience. I have seen better dunes in PEI so for me this beach was disappointing. Also the washroom accessibility can be an issue as the beach is quite long.
