Recently their meat department service has gone down. Recently few times I have noticed their meat department staff talking to customers rudely……. Further, they wrap up everything 20 minutes earlier than closing time, this happened twice to me, when you request them to give you meat around that time they will offer to give you as is but wouldn’t cut it for you as they clean machines way earlier than mentioned closing time. This is quite frustrating for customers. I would suggest them to change the closing if the staff wants to leave early or offer full service until the mentioned closing time.

Gréât place to buy your halal meats and chicken. Great service. You also have lots of great Indian & Pakistani food items.

They do have a very good collection of South Asian foods, mainly originating from Pakistan. They source their meat products from Colonel and my family usually prefers the meat from Colonel than any other halal meat butcher. Sometimes they do have a deal on meat items.

We go shopping at this store for its cleanliness and organization. It has a quite good variety of items. The meat section is nice.However, prices are higher than elsewhere when we go shopping there. Meat section services are getting less accommodating and people don't accommodate your needs as before due to new store policies.

I have been going there for about six years to buy meat and grocery items. A few days ago, I went in to buy some meat and wanted to exchange a spice pack (National brand) that I had mistakenly picked up the wrong one in my last visit a week ago. They don't exchange items after 7 days and I was just a day over and expected they would still respect that. They refused to exchange it citing their policy. Knowing most stores in Canada would even accept returns even if you have lost receipts, I didn't expected that at all after being loyal for so many years. Extremely disappointed with the customer service.

I buy lots of meat from here the beef however the quality for some of the steak cuts at 6.99-7.99 are not very good you really get what you pay for consider some butchers charge 13.00-18.99 a pound for a good quality of steak you can really taste the difference. 2 striploin steaks for 12 bucks should be a red flag

Surprise Dog Food FindSo, I have come to appreciate this little supermarket for their what I’ll call breakfast kabobs. If my 10 year old like ‘em, they must be good. Given its limitations in terms of size, their butcher is very competitive with all you’d ever expect to find. Thus far, I’ve been very happy with their minced meat and chicken cuts.On pure spec, not expecting much in return as far as an answer, I asked for bones for my dog. To my delight, SHAAN has a whole section of packaged food in 1 litre size containers including beef cubes, chicken feet, chicken red bone, beef tongue, chicken breast and of course the ol’ standby - bones. Chicken bones that is. There are even some other items that I didn’t jot down.The service here is friendly and helpful. It appears they have a variety of spices, but are not really afresh produce grocer apart from lemon, ginger and garlic.
