Had a torn meniscus repaired by Dr. Ernst recently. He was a total pro and made the procedure seamless. The entire staff were very professional and welcoming, and the facility was nicer than the day surgery units at our hospitals. I would rate the entire experience 10/10. I didn’t realize that we had such an amazing facility in Saskatoon but happy that I was able to have my surgery there instead of the hospital.

Our experiences were both good and bad here. The staff while in the surgical centre, according to my partner, were very good, the quality of care was very good, and we have no issues there at all. The problem we have is the communication. I was not allowed in the building to pick him up or drop him off(this is an incredibly dangerous practice), despite being unable to contact them for 30 minutes past the pickup time. I eventually had to walk past the people in the front just to pick him up. When he was released, there was NO communication to me. My partner remembered ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - we had no idea what was done to him (still don't know), no discharge instructions for his specific surgery (just general surgery instructions - most didn't apply to him at all), no idea what medications were taken, nothing at all. I had to call them numerous times to even find out that they had given him opioids, which he has a history of bad reactions to - as a medical professional myself, this is absolutely abhorrent. While I am satisfied with the surgery itself, and as far as I can tell the quality of care was very good, the communication could have caused a very dangerous situation. If I was to need surgery, I don't think I would accept a date at this centre, if only because I don't believe they would tell me the important information that I needed to ensure my own safety after the surgery.

honestly could not have asked for a better place to have my surgery. My whole team of nurses were so friendly and professional the whole way through. The anesthesiologist was great at explaining what was happening in the OR as i was being put to sleep. everything was 100% clean and while my surgery was pushed back an hour or so they made sure i was comfortable and relaxed the whole time. when i woke up everyone was talkative and asked how i was doing multiple times. when i was ready to go they wheeled me down to my ride and even called the next day to make sure i was doing okay. i recommend this place whether its for an elective plastic surgery like mine or anything else.

Admittedly, I read these reviews. With reviews I do keep an open mind, but also an open eye for what others had compliments and concerns. Walking in, I wondered if I was walking into a warehouse. It's clear, they are bursting at the seams. But when you weigh the alternatives (not getting a much needed surgery) I feel it's fine to make use of what space you have. Though I did find the reception area, lacked certain cleanliness, they are clean where it matters. In addition to that, I felt SO MUCH care from the nursing staff. Before and after in recovery. I've had other surgeries where it feels like they are trying to through you out the door as soon as you wake up. Not here, I felt very cared for. They called the next day to check in, as well as a week later.Prior to surgery, I met with Dr. Sharma, the anesthesiologist, and the nurse who would be there. I felt at ease in their care - It was just great, I can't thank them all enough. I recommend. I hope your success can bring on a new larger space with more storage :)

It’s hard to find words to describe the experience we had at Prairie View Surgical Center. Everyone we encountered were caring, kind, postive and made us feel like we were important(human).Every step was explained from the first phone call we had.We have had many medicial experiences over the years but nothing like this. All of the staff were excellent. Thank you for the great experience and making the surgery a truly stress less procedure.Thank you thank thank you.

Had a surgery performed there yesterday, they were running a bit behind but things happen. The nurses, anesthesiologist and Dr.Sauder was very professional and caring, they answered every question I had in regards to the procedure and aftercare. Once I woke up the nurse was chatty and relaxed. I felt much better once the anesthetic started to wear off and the nurse helped me right to my truck with a wheelchair. All in all I was very happy with the whole experience.

The anesthesiologist (unfortunately I can’t remember her name) was amazing, so kind and totally put me at ease before my surgery. I was really anxious but she made sure to answer all my questions and address any concerns. Dr Sharma was great as well! Overall it was a positive experience.
