10/10 flight school.. I had some of the best instructors and most amazingly beautiful experiences at FLA. Andy and Tegan taught me incredibly valuable flying skills and made me fall in love with floats. Missing this place all the time and can’t wait to go back.

My dad took me and my twin sister for our birthday and it was amazing!! Our pilot Hugh was super nice- we saw all around Vancouver and he pointed out a ton of neat places for us :)

A last-minute business trip this week took me to Vancouver. The commercial flights from Houston to Vancouver are a bit limited, so I needed to take a Tuesday night flight for a Wednesday afternoon meeting. This was my first trip to Vancouver, so I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a free morning than going exploring by air.Vancouver is a beautiful city in its own right, but for airplane people, it is particularly delightful. The hotel in the airline terminal provides amazing views of international aviation 24/7. As an even better treat, Vancouver is a hub of seaplane activity. Two different busy seaplane docks are located on the south side of the airport, along the river and seaplanes come and go constantly. I began my aviation adventure from this charming side of the airport.Leaving Vancouver, we flew north over the city, then followed the highway towards Whistler, as the terrain rose. Still below the ridgelines on either side, our route brought us to Squamish, a mining and logging town, turned adventure sport capital. We proceeded north bound and circled Lake Girabaldi (just south of Whistler), then reversed course and flew south along Howe Sound and Horseshoe Bay. Once back in radio contact with “harbor tower” in Vancouver, we were given clearance to orbit downtown Vancouver, before returning for a great lunch at the Flying Beaver restaurant at Vancouver seaplane base.It was amazing. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and I cannot imagine a more perfect way to experience it than from a small airplane. The people are friendly and engaging and the country is breathtaking.Kudos to my friends at Fort Langley Air. I look forward to returning soon.

The best operator to earn a float/seaplane rating with. Their 50 hour bush flying course has been very challenging and full of valuable skills. Andy and Tegan have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share, and they really care about your success and saftey as a pilot.

Andy, Tegan, Sam and the rest of the team provide a safe, fun and challenging training experience. Their 50 Hour Career Bush Pilot Course exposed me to what it takes to be a professional pilot, build my skills and confidence to start my flying career. Highly recommend for flight training or sight seeing flights!

I did the basic float rating with these guys last fall and I could not imagine doing it anywhere else. You will get to do some spectacular flying on top of just learning the float basics, definitely an eye opening experience to anyone that isn't already immersed in mountain flying. Andy and Tegan are both great instructors and awesome to deal with.

Tegan and Andy helped me get my seaplane rating. They are absolutely amazing instructors and outstanding bush pilots. Made my rating in 7 hours and learned so much in so little time. I strongly recommend Fort Langley Air for anyone looking to add a seaplane rating to their license or simply for additionnal training on float and mountain flying.

It was absolutely amazing!!! Our pilot was Hugh and he showed us tons of cool stuff! He knew tons about the areas we went over- Howe sound, downtown, the Coastal Mountains and the Indian arm. The views were incredible and the plane was so much more steady than I thought it would be. Everyone that was there was super nice too and prices were really good and they gave us a deal on top of that! So yeah I’d highly recommend it, what an insanely good time it was. Also here’s a few photos I took :)
