Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Boating Center

This rating is for boat parts. My friend was there on a Sunday to pick up a part. The store manager got into the parts department but couldn’t find the part. The parts manager made me pay for shipping to Saskatoon.

Not the kind of things I buy but visiting the store was a surprising experience. like taking a safari.

The 2 ladies (Dena) at the tracker boat service center department have no idea what they are doing and have no customer service skills. I brought my boat in for a diagnostic and waited 3 days to be called back with no information on my boat. When I picked up my boat they were completely lost in the process and failed to give me the actual report, Module summary, 34 point report, and my keys. I thought I brought my boat to the pros, but instead got amateurs and paid for nothing.I WOULD NOT recommend Bass Pro Tracker Boat Service Center for any work on anything.

I just share my experience in the boat service centre.I dropped off my Mercury 9.9 outboard motor because after the winter, I couldn’t start it.The technician told me they need to diagnose it and I have to pay $65. I said “ yes “.After some hours, I was told they need to clean the carburetor and change the spark plugs, and the cost is $180. I answered “ ok “2 days later, I was told that the motor already works, and I have to pay $270.99. I said “ ok, I’ll pay it “After I paid $270.99, I asked them to show me the motor working condition. Unfortunately, my motor doesn’t work.Then, they gave me two choices: 1, change a new carburetor, have to pay $361 more for that . 2, rebuild, I have to pay $420 more for that. Even if that, No warranty!I gave them up to fix my motor anymore and took back my motor.One of my friends who is not a professional technician on motor found a rubber tube broke in the motor. After he cut off a small piece of the tube,My motor works very well like brand new.

After waiting 3 weeks for another boat service company to fix my outboard, I brought it in to the boating center. Within 48 hours they had the problem properly diagnosed and the required parts ordered. Within the week I had my boat back in good shape. I was able to speak directly with the technician (Bart) which minimized any confusion. I found everyone I dealt (including Chloe and Deena?)with there to be both professional and helpful.

Bass pro takes cabelas returns. But they need to call cabelas for confirmation and might take a bit longer. Great friendly staff. Love going there with my dog. Pet friendly.
