Terrible customer service by the lady works the front desk upon our arrival was very terse in her behavior towards both my co-worker and myself. She constantly talked over us while we were trying to speak to her. She wouldn't let us use the fitness center " because it was closed (it was supposed to be open until 11pm) which was another 90 minutes.When she discovered our rooms had been booked using some hotel site she became even more ignorant and refused to honor the reservation. We had to call our boss back in Ottawa and this lady made her redo a form.When I finally made it to my room

Old hotel with old hotel snell. Rooms are nice for the buildings age and do not carry the same smell. The only problem with the rooms is the design of the bathroom. The door is in the way of the toilet.

Previous guests used wash cloth not removed. Only one plug in available by bed. Exposed wires and broken lamps.Sketchy breakfast. Elevator out of commission.

When I arrived to check in to my prebooked room around 430 to 5 pm on Dec 13, 2022, the elevator was out of service. Had to walk up to my room. When I opened the door to my room it wasn't even made up. Roommate had to walk down the stairs to complain. When we got another room, it wasn't stocked with the normal items, for example, coffee, su, cream, shampoo, hand soap, lotion, extra roll of toilet paper.As it was extremely cold out, the lady at the front desk recommended we eat in their dining room. When my roommate went to order, he had to order from the lounge. When he went to order, they had few items from their menu he could order from. He had to go down and pick our food up. It was horrible tasting.I had stayed there last year for a previous foot surgery and was quite happy with everything.This time just about everything was very substandard.Will not be staying there again.

Great customer service. Food was ok. Rooms a bit older, but overall in good conditions.

Wifi wasn’t working, $136 a night, room was acceptable but barely. Huge dust buildup on the bathroom vent fan. The heater is right beside the bed so hot dusty air gets blown into your face all night. Wouldn’t complain for $75 a night but for $136 I feel robbed lol. Not like there’s many other choices in Vermillion.

The parking is garbage, there was a man outside that was asking us for money, the front desk worker was rude and rolling her eyes at the fact that we didn't have crates for our dogs. We went to the Pomeroy Inn down the road and absolutely loved it. The pet fee is also ridiculous at this hotel

Rooms were nice. Stayed 3 nights in that time was moved rooms twice do t broken toliet that broke 2am and no service until 3 pm following day. Then was changed rooms to room that could not accommodate amount of people in the group. Communication between staff terrible maintenance crew visited 3 times in 30 mins to fix an issue that didn't exist. Front desk staff ride at check in. Awesome staff at check out and maintenance crew. Blanket came complete ith yellow stains.Location was awesome for all town services.

Hotel room was clean. Lobby floors were not, especially at rear entrance(gravel parking lot) There are light bulbs out on the main floor. Air conditioning in the room worked well. The Shaw cable program is not compatible with the TV in the room, so the image is cropped and you can't see the full picture. The breakfast is pre-made and consists of an apple, juice box, yogurt cup, granola bar, and a hard boiled egg which is cold by the time you get it. Pricing is reasonable, but I miss the days of hotels having hot, buffet style breakfast.

The staff was very friendly & helpful and was the best part of my stay but it went way downhill from there. Parking is non existent. You have to park on the street, in the back alley or in front of a restaurant which is very tight & congested. The rooms are very overpriced for what you get. A basic room that was dated & basic was $139+ tax and they charged a pet fee of $20 a night on top of that which I think a bit much. Probably won’t be staying here again.
