I had the pleasure of experiencing an unforgettable hot air balloon ride with Skyward Balloons in Kitchener, Ontario, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From the initial preparation to the moment we touched back down on solid ground, the entire experience was simply magical.Our point of contact, Linda, was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and professional from the get-go. She went above and beyond to ensure our hot air balloon adventure would be one to remember, and she even helped me orchestrate a picture-perfect proposal for my significant other. Her attention to detail and genuine care for our special moment made the experience that much more memorable.The entire Skyward Balloons crew was amazing, kind, and attentive to our needs. They worked efficiently and safely to prepare the balloon for our ride, and their expertise was evident throughout the entire process.As for the ride itself, the sunrise views were simply breathtaking! Soaring above Kitchener, Ontario, we were treated to a visual feast of stunning landscapes and vibrant colors that left us speechless. The tranquil and serene atmosphere provided the perfect setting for the proposal, and we couldn't have asked for a better backdrop.In summary, Skyward Balloons made our hot air balloon experience an unforgettable one, and we are forever grateful for their exceptional service and dedication to making our special moment perfect. It was just wonderful aboard the colorful ornament, experiencing the old world's way of flying. Every interaction with the team from booking until we said our goodbyes was very pleasant. The team is experienced, very professional and yet friendly. If I go ballooning again - it'll be with the Skyward team.

This was SUCH an amazing experience. There were 3 of us, and 2 of us were a bit nervous but Linda and Graham made us feel at ease and walked us through step by step what would happen. It was amazingly fun, such peaceful sunrise ride - we loved it. So grateful to have this experience and will be back again.

The Hot Air Balloon Ride experience and team at Skyward Balloons are both phenomenal. Booking your trip can be tricky as the weather needs to be just right, but Linda (the owner) is amazingly helpful and responsive. She helped us book and re-book a few times when the weather was less favourable and went out of her way to ensure to ensure we had reserve dates that worked with our schedules. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is interested, the ride is very smooth, the pilots are very experienced and personable. You will not regret booking!

It was a lovely experience and I would recommend it to anyone. I purchased my ticket in 2019 with Ontario Hot Air Balloon Rides. It came to my attention this flying season that Simon from Ontario Hot Air Balloon Rides was finished with the business and Skyward Balloons purchased some of their assets. I am thankful for the opportunity to fly with Skyward Balloons. Provided the nature of the activity is highly weather dependent making cancellations and rescheduling a very common occurrence, I appreciated whenever Linda called to reach out and see if I could accommodate another date and time that was more favorable for flying in the event my scheduled flight forecasted unsuitable flying conditions. If you are looking to purchase tickets, it is important to read the FAQs and Terms and Conditions beforehand to see if the activity suits your preferences (especially given frequent cancellations and rescheduling). Although my experience was wonderful in terms of the flight, I do feel there were areas where the customer/passenger experience could be improved. Ontario Hot Air Balloon Rides offered passengers photo sharing of each flight (including launch photo). A launch photo taken by ground crew and shared with passengers would have been appreciated given once we boarded the hot air balloon, there was no opportunity to take a full photo of ourselves in the basket with the inflated hot air balloon above us (which would have been an amazing keepsake). The flights were also supposed to be 8 passengers maximum (2 people per basket section); however, on this flight they allowed for 11, which made things a bit tight. My friend and I had another passenger we didn't know in our section of the basket. It was a bit awkward having someone we didn't know well in our personal space and as a result the section had little room to move around comfortably and view/experience the ride from all angles. Customer/passenger comfort should have been considered in this situation. It would also help for the staff to hire or schedule more pack up crew post-flight. After our flight, 10 of the 11 passengers assisted the 3 staff at some point to pack up the hot air balloon and equipment. One of the staff members stated without the additional assistance, it would take the crew a longer time to pack up. From personal judgement, if passengers did not assist, it would have taken more than 2 hours for them to pack up before being able to take passengers back to the original launch spot where we parked on arrival. Tickets are almost $300 each. As a paying customer, I wanted to simply enjoy the experience and not necessarily work the experience. The hot air balloon was heavy to lift and I found both my clothes and shoes got very dirty during the pack up the process. I am sure I am not alone in saying this is not how one would envision the end to their flight experience. The post-flight champagne and prayer was a nice touch to wrap up the experience and I would suggest maybe offering light snacks as well, similar to Ontario Hot Air Balloon Rides. I do realize some of the feedback is from me having purchased a ticket with Ontario Hot Air Balloon Rides and looking forward to the experience advertised by them. In summary, this was still an amazing experience and something I would consider doing again in the future in hopes of an even better experience.

What an amazing experience. My first time but Linda and Graham were so wonderful and make you feel at ease. The pilot was knowledgeable and funny. Covid precautions were taken at all times and it was the perfect day to fly.I would recommend Skyward Balloons anytime.Absolutely fantastic experience.
