Ottawa Historical Fencing Society
Historical martial arts is about recreating fighting in a way that satisfies historical evidence. Now, this doesn't mean that everyone gets everything right the first time, but I've been fencing with this group for five years now, and I've watched the class itself grow with new knowledge presented and discussed. The instructors' and class veterans' ability and willingness to change their minds (and the classes lessons) according to well-researched fact is one of the many reasons I continue to fence with the OHFS. It also doesn't hurt that they have a great supporting club system as well.
