I came in today and was greeted by smiley faces all around! Everyone is so welcoming here at Backstage. It was my first time but I’m definitely be coming back here again!! Hannah was my hair dresser today and she killed it!! Would definitely recommend to anyone :)

Anna is the only person I can trust with my hair! I have very thick hair that’s hard to manage and she thinned it very well. I’m also very pleased with the colour that was done, she always picks the exact shade I ask of her.

Got my haircut from hannah, loved it so much. I personally dont trust anyone when it comes to my hair but honestly i would recommend her to anyone and for myself . Would def go there again. Thanks hannah:)

When I moved to Oakville from Montreal 14 years ago, I had trouble finding a hair stylist in the area, so I started to used a downtown Toronto salon. During Covid I decided to try Silvana at Backstage and she did an amazing job! I have very fine hair and she took the time to layer it so that my hair looks much fuller. I love that she is a talented and no nonsense kind of person and very easy to talk to! Thanks Silvana!

My business is very pro supporting other business however I have to call out Larry at Back Stage Hair and the female new owner for being very unprofessional and overcharging customers for services and not making amends with honest errors they made. I overheard a conversation Larry and the other stylists had about a woman who had a perm done and they were not speaking very kind about her but given the concerns about her results I would be concerned too. If I launched a complaint about my hair would you speak this way about me behind my back or without regard for other customers overhearing the situation? I will not be returning to this salon. I cannot in good faith support this business or its stylists given what I have seen in practise or how they have mistreated customers.

I came here to get my hair curled for a university dance a couple weeks ago. I called the week prior to inquire about pricing and such. I wanted a wash, dry and curl. I talked to someone on the phone, she said that it would cost $45 (without tax + tip). I asked her if it was variable depending on the length of hair and if I wanted tight curls, because I have very long hair. She said nope, it’ll still be $45. So I said ok great, booked the appointment. On the day of, the Staff was kind through the whole process. Chatting here and there with me and complimenting my hair. It felt great. Then it came time to pay and I found out my total was just a little over $90. I said “Wait, I thought it was $45?” And the woman at the desk goes “the stylist charged you more because of the length of your hair and the curls.” And at this point I just felt really bad. I couldn’t not tip because the service was great and I’m generally a really anxious person so I didn’t know how to argue the price since it was NOT at all what I was told it would be. So with my tip it came out to about $103-104 and I left. I spent the rest of the night feeling quite upset about the amount I spent because it was not at all what I was expecting… I’m just disappointed and feel lied to about the pricing, as I mentioned, I’m a student so money is tight. If there was no issue with the pricing, this review would have easily been 5 stars.

Hannah was amazing. I came to Backstage for a mens perm and it was a great experience. Hannah is so skilled, and she went above and beyond to deliver exactly what I envisioned. I highly recommend Hannah at Backstage Hair Salon!
