I would take this course every weekend if I could. Mary and Alex were so helpful and knowledgeable about the industry. I would not have had to courage to start my business if it wasn't for them. They are super supportive and great mentors to have. I am forever grateful for my experience at the Toronto Flower school and I look forward to signing up for more workshops in the near future. Mary is the ultimate flower QUEEN! No seriously, I just had my last day of school today and I am going to miss Mary and her flower gang so much; they are honestly THE BEST!!!The sign of an exceptional teacher is empowerment and that’s what defines Mary’s teaching style. She breaks everything down so it’s not so intimidating, encourages you and quickly helps you gain confidence and before you know it you are off and running making beautiful arrangements. I signed up for the “Start up with Design” 1 on 1 and immediately I felt very comfortable explaining to Mary what my goals were and where I was coming from and she really went all out with all gorgeous blooms and contemporary mechanics and all the on trend cutting edge design stuff that we see in today’sAmazing floral design world. I also signed up for a separate seminar that was all about large scale floral installations and it was there that I realized every student feels the same way I do, this alumni of the school is one big supportive family - it’s truly incredible what has been built over the years. Just the mentoring and the generosity has blown me away. I know that if I need something or I am stuck or have a question, Mary is going to be there to help her students. I had been to another school before and did not leave with that much confidence to step into the floral world but after Mary’s program I feel like my skills are on par and I could be hired freelance anywhere; every student flourishes in this environment. Could bang on about this forever! If you are curious about modern contemporary boutique floral design (the ultra cool stuff) go to this school. I also have to give a shout out to Alex (Mary’s daughter) who taught me all about insane floral installations which gave me the confidence to attempt one solo almost immediately (and with success :) ) I can’t wait to get back there to create gorgeous flowers again one day. Thanks again!!!

Toronto Flower School is the go to place to get your foot through the door into the world of Floristry. I HIGHLY recommend anyone and everyone to attend Mary’s classes as she’s very well experienced in the industry and will teach you all the tricks of the trade. Not only do students learn basics and traditional methods but they’re taught artistic and more contemporary elements of design. Mary and Alex are phenomenal and take everything up to a whole other notch from basic. Best of all, Mary and Alex are always willing to help and answer absolutely any type questions regarding anything. If anyone is considering enrolling in TFS, I would hands down recommend it !

This class was a great experience! Mary and her team, took their time in showing us a variety of techniques, showed us secrets of the trade and provided positive feedback! I completed the course with a new found confidence in floral design. Mary is a great mentor and still offers support and help even months after I completed the course. Hope to get back soon for new seminars!

I had the best time with Mary at Toronto Flower School. She made my classes really fun and gave me a lot of encouragement. Not only was it fun she taught me a lot of techniques that are very useful. I thoroughly enjoyed my classes at The Toronto Flower School. For the first time in my life I was sad for school to end!. Mary and Alex are the best! And they remain your mentors even after your course is over. I've reached out to them numerous times and they have been extremely helpful. Their guidance has helped me build my confidence which has allowed me to move forward in my floral career. They teach with a modern approach to floral design. The setting is casual and fun, not fussy at all. Classes are small so you receive lots of personal attention and have ample time to ask questions. If you are interested in developing your floral design skills it's a great place to start.
