Divino Wine Shop
My go-to place for a good wine. The lady is very nice and knowledgeable and following her recommendations I have tried excellent local wines that I would not have found at regular BC liquor stores. She knows how, who and where the wines come from, a real expert not easy to find in this city.

Bottled vinegar! Wished I'd checked out the reviews before going... Bought two Cab/Merlots and one Chardonnay 2006... Here on vacation with my Aunt and my mother, we couldn't get past the first, sour sip, of either one... I called the store and told him the problem, he took a sip and with a grimace on his face, said Oh

Would give zero stars if possible. 2006 Divino was vinegar like others have said. Wanted to exchange for a different wine but passive agressive dude refused. Was given another bottle but it was just as bad. Not gonna bother to return it, no clue how this place is still around, terrible product and service. Likely it's a tax shelter.

This shop is great. Friendly and ready to help. They really know their wines, and have a unique local selection. Always plenty of good values as well. My first choice when I'm in the area.

Home made wine with home made labels. You have been warned. This is not wine that tastes anything like wine.

Wine had gone bad like all other reviewers wine. Owner probably buys wine extremely cheap due to the near off nature...and by the time he sells it, then it's full vinegar (like other reviewers). I would recommend going up the street to BC Liquor store, as this place is dodgy.

I can’t say I had a bad experience like some others. The wine I purchased was delicious and I found the customer service quite friendly and helpful. Personally I like a quirky little store like this and some of the knickknacks inside.

This store has weird hours. If you get lucky and find them open, you'll find the best wine bargains in town. The founder Giuseppe Busnardo started in Oliver planting exotic grape varieties from Italy to produce unique wines. Unfortunately he ran afoul of the BC government which only recognized 5 species of grapes and saw other varieties as an invasive species. Can you believe at that time the government in 1982 would not permit Merlot, Trebbiano, Manzoni and Tocai to be made into wine. He's been fighting the government for the last half century. This wine shop is like a museum of BC wine history. It contains many wines produced to scoff at the authorities. The Tocai late harvest is my personal favorite. It was the predecessor of ice wines in Canada. They have a $10 1 liter of Rubino wine. Some wines may not be to your taste but these are flavors from history. Wine making has evolved since so flavors may not be familiar. I'll post pictures. This is getting too long but the history of this quiet pioneer should be shared. Suggestion if 604 683 (Vino)8466 is answered, they're open.

This place is a joke. I’ve had better home brew from a kit. Not even suitable as salad vinegar or for cooking. I showed up to a friends house with a bottle from this place and he exclaimed “Oh no!! I should have warned you!! Never go there!”
