Budget Car Rental

I ended up at Budget in Duncan because I lost the key to my Budget rental from Calgary *sigh*.. While the Calgary portion of this was awful, Budget in Duncan went out of their way to try and help me. BC and Alberta aren't connected, so they weren't able to just replace the car, but the ladies I dealt with in the office were amazing. They got me another rental for the two days I waited for another key to be sent, at an amazing price, and were so understanding and helpful. Next time I take a vacation to Vancouver Island I will fly there just to rent from these guys again. Thank you so much!

Staff were courteous, professional, efficient and friendly. I was stressed as I was renting due to my car being out of service. They made the experience much less painful.

Usually I love budget from Duncan. Today I had the worst experience on the phone talking to a guy name George. Rude, actitud and hang up the phone before I was finish talking to him. Maybe transfer him in the back where he doesn’t have to deal with customers.

Didn't have the Rav4 I'd reserved for a long highway but instead had an off road type jeep Wrangler with big knobby tires etc that would get terrible mileage. They said was same thing" or the other vehicle that was the same was a tall European style panel van. When I asked about the second option I'd requested if the Rav4 was unavailable

Always our go to when cars in shop or when we had accident. They are very courteous staff that go over and above to make sure you get a great rate in the car you want. I notice alot of rental agency's tell you the car your getting well this budget location let's you pick they are not pushy or rude. We had one bad experience 2 years ago we had a flat in a rental from this location turned out that the person prior to us renting the car had the same tire blow well the put a different tire on it wrong size and speed rating so when we had the tire blow up we were stuck with a 380 bill for a new tire plus hotel room in Merit BC and a day shaved off our vacation they said they would not pay for the tire or the hotel we were shocked as the tire shop even told them that the tire that blew was the wrong tire for the car and different than the other 3 tires, anyway we were stuck with a bill just over 500 dollars for something I believe Budget should have covered. Since then we have not had an issue but it would be nice to get reimbursed for the tire at the very least.Sean Oliver & Lynette Nataucappo

Booked an SUV and got a Jeep Wrangler. Tried to up-sell me on insurance since now I was renting a 4WD. When I asked about the 3 SUVs parked in the yard I was told these weren't available. You can probably guess that those same SUVs hadn't moved when I returned the Wrangler. The gas mileage of the Wrangler was 50% worse than a standard SUV so added cost to me. Will rent from national from now on.

Budget has the worst customer service - stay clear! First of all, they provided me with a car that the driver's door wouldn't open from the outside. I had to climb in each time through the passenger side to open the driver door, then run around to get into the vehicle. I also booked using a coupon code to receive 40 bonus Air Miles. When the bonus air miles weren't added to my account, I spent over 30 mins on hold, only to end up having an agent telling me they couldn't add the rewards as it was against their policy. The offer at this time was still being offered! I will never rent from Budget again.

I recently needed a rental car while my car was being repaired at GT Collision. Budget works hand-in-hand with GT and are conveniently just down the road from each other. I was given an upgraded vehicle, a 2017 Jetta, and enjoyed such a fun, sporty, and clean vehicle. Budget explained everything clearly to me, as I had never needed a rental vehicle and was a little nervous about the whole process. The ladies at the front desk are hilarious, and their driver, Will I believe his name is, was very kind and courteous. I would highly reccomend!
