Smitty's Family Restaurant and Lounge
Went there twice with my family. Both times were a disappointment. The burger patties were cut in the middle like the cook had no idea whether it was cooked through or not. The pierogies were deep fried. The salad was ok but nothing special. There was no service and I had to refill the coffee myself. I will never go back.

Great breakfast, something for everyone on their menu. Staff is always friendly, and they know their jobs very well. I always have a good experience at Smittys!!

This is always a great breakfast joint, especially as they serve all menu items well into the afternoon (being one of the only of the kind in the cbrm) their benedicts are delicious, especially the so cal. The food is almost always perfect, often they are under staffed so needs can be missed but not because of the wait staff which is always run off their feet. Love the atmosphere, usually always a table available and they cater beautifully to children (I wish they had senior or light options on the menu though for people with smaller appetites. )

Not a great experience! The So-Cal eggs benedict tasted off, the tomato was old, the avocado was hard, and the hollandaise was burnt and separated. Food is basically inedible, and the table behind us were served rotten fish which you could smell all through the place. The server took it back and agreed that it was indeed rotten. Take your breakfast craving to another establishment!

Decided to have lunch here with my sister. I ordered the half sandwich and soup . The sandwich was fine but the soup seemed to be canned soup...gross. My sister got breakfast and her potatoes were old and dry . Total waste of money.... won’t be returning here .The service was fine but the food was not good .

Honestly if I could give this restaurant a negative one I would. This isn't my first bad experience here, but it was the most stand out one. We went here today due to family day and them being the only ones open. We totally understood that they were busy and seemed to be short staffed. We had ordered coffee and water, the waters which we never received. Fine, it's busy. After waiting almost 45 minutes our waitress shows up. She was the only thing that saved this experience. Takes our food orders and off she goes. We finally received our food after almost another 45 minutes. My partners ( who is a chef) had ordered a skillet. ( pictured). The eggs were completely dry, he had ordered 2 extra eggs which were supposed to come on the side, they said they were added into the skillet. Absolutely not. When he went to take a bite it was stone cold. So we sent it back. When the food came back to our table it very clearly had just been thrown in the microwave. There was even some new mysterious tomato pieces in his dish. The dish didn't have tomato before hand, and tomatoes where not included in the skillet. So im thinking they fell off the inside of the microwave as they were completely rotten and dehydrated. Our waitress ended up saving the day by having the manager remove the skillet from our bill. Not once did the manager come over to speak with us, or see how they could make our experience better. Our waitress was in training and clearly stressed out with no support. A poorly run establishment, we spent over 2 hours there, frozen and microwaved food. Do not waste your time on this overpriced nonsense.

It had been a long time between visits. We were very pleased with the excellent service and food. The portions were generous. We'll be back soon
