Calgary Travel Clinic - Douglasglen

After much searching for information and reviews on a number of well known travel clinics in Calgary, I stumbled across this one just by chance. What a lucky find! A 5 minute telephone conversation and an appointment the same afternoon. Then, when my husband and I arrived, the Pharmacist had already contacted our usual pharmacy and had all the info he needed to direct bill our insurance companies! He also had already pulled health alerts from all the countries we will be visiting and had prepared most of our vaccination product before we arrived! Our consultation and vaccinations would have taken at least another 45 minutes if he had not prepared so much ahead of time. As it was, it was a reasonable - and thorough - 1 1/4 hr for the two of us. I have seldom received this kind of pro-active service (Costco Okotoks is pretty fantastic too!). Pharmacist Mohammad Nadim was as pleasant as could be and gave us some good advice so that we were not over-vaccinating but that we were adequately prepared for the type of travelling we planned: 8 countries of South and Central America. Not only was the visit and experience extremely positive, it was, at most, less than half the cost of anywhere else. I completely recommend this Travel Clinic to anyone who wants thorough, well considered advice; prompt service; and a pharmacist who values the client's time by going above and beyond to obtain information in advance of the appointment.

My wife and I had a great experience at the clinic. There was no wait upon arriving, the place was clean and inviting. The pharmacist, Nasima, was very pleasant and friendly, informative and not pushy about what shots to get. She could easily have pushed many more on us but let us decide. As far as the shots they were not painful and we even kidded around.I would highly recommend the Douglasglen Travel Clinic.

My daughter HATES shots. She LOVES the pharmacist Nasima of Douglasglen Travel Clinic. They know their stuff, but more importantly they are very good at reducing anxiety and getting vaccines done without tears! Highly recommended.

Pharmacist me down for my upcoming trip to India and Nepal, and she knew exactly what I would need, when to take it, how to prepare for the trip, what precautions to take, etc. I received prompt attention, knowledgeable service and would recommend the clinic to anyone traveling abroad.

I highly recommend this travel clinic to anyone needing vaccines! I chose this clinic because it was new and I had such a great experience that I went to their other location when it opened to get my second round of vaccines. The owners are highly knowledgeable and truly care about your travel and pharmaceutical needs.

We went in with our three children on Saturday. The patience and kindness displayed by the pharmacist was outstanding. Very thorough and explained in great detail our options for travel to different countries. I would recommend this place if you have small children. (3,5, and 7). We also received a post injection call to see how the children were doing, thank you!!

By far the best Travel Clinic in Calgary. The staff are super friendly and helpful, as well as informative. The staff also do not try and give you more than what you actually need. They are honest and genuine, and that is why i always go to this Travel Clinic for my vaccinations.

DO NOT USE THIS TRAVEL CLINIC. Claims to be a travel clinic but doesn’t actually know any of the requirements for travel. Save your money and go somewhere else that actually has knowledge of entry requirements.

Went to Douglasglen location. They did not give me my vaccination records nor update my vaccinations in the system. THEY DO NOT HAVE YELLOW FEVER and sent me to the Sheldon Chumir to get it. They gave me Hep A and Hep B vaccinations even though I was already lifetime vaccinated. I suggest going to Sheldon Chumir as this will be the only visit required as they carry provincial vaccines that private travel clinics do not. Sheldon Chumir also waves the consult fee if you receive a vaccination, whereas this place changed me for all of the above.
