RBC Royal Bank

Staff need better training and need to be more professional. The managers here seem like they are clueless. The teller used my account to create a draft for another customer, and it took over 3 weeks for them to return my money after visiting the branch and calling the rbc call center numerous times. Over the 3 weeks, I didn't even receive a single follow-up call.

Unfortunately ，I got the car loan from RBC 5 years ago ，I traded in my old car on October 3 this year ，and dealership asked me to stop my regular biweekly payment ，they will pay off the car loan ，but need a couple days. And then I received a $363. ×× payment from RBC on October 17. I was surprised ，but I didn't think too much. A couple days later I started to receive phone call from RBC，I picked up and they hung up. I thought that's scam. For safety ，I went to this RBC to check out what's going on. They told me I still owed the bank 390. ××，They also found the money sent to my account ，it's very weird. The manager called the car loan department over half hour and let me call by myself. After half an hour calling and talking ，the customer service can't figure out and talked to her manager ，called me back after 20mins，let me go to the closest branch to pay the regular biweekly payment 370. ××. I went back to this RBC again. The manager didn't want to take off the unreasonable interest. Well. The tellers were very great and nice ，they felt bad and said sorry to me several times. 5 stars for them. But the RBC system and managers deserved 0 star，if Google have this option.

Very poor service.. I called the customer service and they confirmed that there are safety deposit boxes available however I drove an hour to come to the branch to find out that there's a long waiting list!! I missed my work coz this was really important. Why wouldn't they say it at first that there is a waiting list! Why such inconvenience to people. And the teller was so rude. Thank goodness I don't bank with RBC. Worst experience eveeeeeerrrrr

Visited the bank on a Saturday, A trainee was present and she completely ignored my question about an inquiry regarding the locker.The highest goal for an employee in this field is to provide excellent customer service, and this bank completely lacks the basic customer service. Probably its not emphasized from the management.Extremely disappointed will not recommend any friends to that branch!

I have encountered an awesome customer services provided by an financial advisor named Rita and their Branch Manager at the RBC located at 5051 Hwy 7, Markham.My story:On May 7th evening, I have been spent 4 hrs and hung up 3 times on the phone when I was talking to 3 different customer services at the credit card call centre as I have discovered few transactions being charged without my consent. Obviously, the credit card call centre was an unpleasant experience.Thurs, in the next day morning, I have made a physically visited to my home branch but due to COVID-19, I have to contact the 5050 Hwy 7 branch. As I have explained my concerns and they spent almost 3 hrs to assist me to get my refunds back. I personally truly feel sorry for them, as the front line staff, handle all the customers’ requests are mostly out of their scope of services.I did not think I can get all my refunds back without their great help. Heartfelt appreciation for their extra mile service this round.I think that the Markham Community is so lucky to have them around to serve us. I was surprised to find bad reviews here, my experience was flawless. As a newcomer, I´m completely lost regarding how the banking system works in Canada, and everyone on the staff was extremely helpful. They were very patient, polite and answered all my questions, they made me feel welcome and safe.

Why this branch is still in existence is beyond me. It has the worst customer service quality and attitude I have ever experienced. Consistently. Staff are rude and arrogant but incompetent at the same time. They don't have solutions for your issues and blame the customer instead. If you are incompetent, at least be sincere and helpful and humble. Arrogance and ignorance is not a good combination, esp when it comes to customer service.

Really bad experience, especially Amy Lu, I can even use word to describe how bad she is. Disgusting. Do not go and work with her. Really really really bad experience. I have never work with someone just as bad as she is.
