We found Royal during our visit to the Toronto Home Show. We started planning for the renovation in April with a start date in September. Paul introduced us to Mark Davies our Project Manager and it was a good match from the start. The task was to add new tile from the front door through the kitchen and into the Powder room and Laundry room. We had Cortina do the kitchen design and cabinets. Mark introduced us to Antonio our foreman and main man on the job. Antonio was the best - he always explained what was needed and what he planned to do each day and week, kept the job site exceptionally clean and his quality of work and products where top notch. He became a friend. He consistently went the extra mile every time and then some. (who would think your contractor would shovel the driveway for my wife while I was away on business!) The job was well planned, thought out and done well. All were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. All follow-ups were completed and we are very pleased with the final results. We would strongly recommend Royal, Mark and Antonio in a heart beat.

After months of Covid isolation working from home, my wife and I decided it was time to upgrade our old used and abused bathroom flooring, both upstairs and downstairs. Once our project was in the hands of Keith Rout and his team, the installation process was done seamlessly and meticulously. I couldn't possibly count the number of times his flooring person went up and down our staircase to go outside and cut vinyl flooring, base boards and trim! oyal Home Improvements did a wonderful job in renovating our basement. The workmanship was of high quality and on schedule while in the middle of a pandemic.From the beginning, Paul walked us through the process, outlining the work needed and costing while monitoring its progress through out the project. George and his crew did an outstanding job in the day to day installation during each phase of the renovation.

I was very happy with the work performed by Royal Home Improvements regarding a major reconstruction of my porch enclosure and other home renovations. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Lawrence Bourbonnais, the crew was punctual, professional and competent. I was impressed by how Lawrence managed the project and took accountability for meeting timelines. I highly recommend Royal Home Improvements if you are looking for a residential general contractor that provides value for money and reliable, courteous service.

Read this before you hire themThey were supposed to build a basement entrance. They subcontracted it out to another company who could not do the project. Failed the first 3 inspection with the city. Never passed even one. They left a big hole in the ground and left it to the elements in the middle of winter and kept on asking us for more money for a sump pump we did not need and brand new plans we didn't need. They did not get back to us. Our home was compromised and both the engineer and the city warned us that our home is being harmed. Refused to give us our money back for the job they did not finish . We had to get another contractor to fix all the mistakes this company made . The other contractor was able to do it from the original plans. The city inspection passed after the new contractor took over. I would never recommend these guys. They take advantage of people and keep on charging for unnecessary changes while not knowing how to do the job.

We renovated our kitchen with new flooring on the first floor, took down a wall, they gave good advice, trust is a big thing for us and Royal did a great job!

THE JOB(S)Guest bedroom remodelRemove and dispose of existing carpet and baseboard. Remove closet completely. Fill in gaps left by the closet removal with drywall and plaster. Paint the ceiling and 4 walls. Install flooring. Before and after pictures as shown. A most excellent job handled by Project Manager, Keith Rout and his crew. Also, special kudos to Jesús, one of Keith’s crew, who is an excellent drywall and flooring specialist.Add-onAs the original Job got underway, we decided to replace the flooring in a 2nd bedroom and Keith purchased enough for both rooms, thus ensuring a good match in materials. Again Jesús demonstrated his skill in flooring installation.Job delayed a bit due to covid-19 and officially got underway June 16th, 2021 and work completed July 14th, 2021. I fully endorse Royal Home Improvements and Project Manager, Keith Rout and his crew, for their expertise in handling these projects.

If we could rate this company 0 stars we would.In December 2021 we signed a contract with Royal Home Improvement for a ductless equipment, we provided the units and installed the outdoor units and have to install the indoor units. However as of today (July 12, 2022) we have not been able to complete the work or have been provided sufficient payment to provide for the cost of the units. Lawrence has been evading our calls, e-mails, and texts. He has been unprofessional and dealing with Royal Home Improvements has been a hassle and waste of time.The office does not know what projects are ongoing and does not know of any updates on the projects. I'm not sure why this company is unable to get a simple permit or return a call from customers or contractors.I would not recommend any contractor do business with them or Lawrence as they do not honour their word or pay contractors. We agree with Duca Contractors as their review was honest.

I hired royal home improvements to put up a new fence and deck and flag stone patio. They also did some interlocking pavers and some grass. Great job, competitive estimate and great service. Special thanks to Keith and all the workers! Would surely recommend them to others.
