NAPA AUTOPRO - Diamond Head Motors Ltd

I have used Diamond Head Motors for all of my vehicle service needs for the past 2 years. They have exceptional customer service and quality work. As someone who doesn’t know a lot about vehicles, I trust them them when they explain what my vehicle needs and I have never felt that I was over-charged.

Our vehicle broke down recently on our way to up to Whistler and the staff at Diamond Head Motors were fantastic in getting our car fixed for us at in a super quick time frame and at a reasonable cost (ironically our son's vehicle had the same issue two months before and our mechanic at home charged the same price to fix, so we knew that Diamond Head was fair in their price). We were stuck in Squamish with a car that wouldn't start near the end of the business day calling several repair shops to see if they could help us. Diamond Head were the only ones that said yes, others didn't even return our call or said they couldn't help for a few days. We got our vehicle to them and they immediately took it in, determined the problem and said they would get the parts in the next morning and have it done by the end of that day. They drove us to get a rental car so we could get to our place in Whistler and kept our bikes for us at the shop since they wouldn't fit in the rental. The repairs were finished earlier than they quoted the next day and we picked up our car and enjoyed the rest of our vacation. We highly recommend this business as they were professional, courteous, quick and efficient, friendly and they were willing to support us when we were stuck! DO NOT USE THEM FOR OUT OF PROVINCE VEHICLE INSPECTION! This is an ICBC scam that they take full leverage with. My vehicle failed" because a little piece of the rubber was cracked on the rear wiper blade. They "kindly" offered to do the repair for me then do another inspection for free. Billing 1 hour to replace the blade of course. I did it myself and it took literally 2 minutes. Furthermore

Big shout out to the guys here! They were completely booked today, yet squeezed me in to inspect my vehicle. Really appreciate this as I didn't have to wait a week to know whether there was damage to the car and if sometime required major attention.Thanks guys! Really appreciate it!

Worst place to get a vehicle inspection. I booked an inspection, dropped off my vehicle and in the first hour they were open they called back and didn't want to do it.Their reasons just sounded like a complete excuse. I am willing to put money into my vehicle to fix the issues and it seemed like they just didn't want to put the time and effort in. I WILL NOT be using them for any services on my vehicles again. HUGE waste of time

We've been taking our cars to Diamond Head Motors for years. They're knowledgeable and honest. I've recently felt a lot of appreciation towards these guys as, over the course of two appointments, they diagnosed an annoying noise coming from the truck. They fixed it and I'm super happy about it!

Did the shop do the job asked? Yes. Did they answer my questions and advise me properly, almost? Did they make me feel terrible with every word? Absolutely!!Context : ICBC inspection failed, no quotes given for repair work, asked for advice and clarification and was given little.I was expecting a fail, and I was looking for direction of what needs to be done.If quotes were given and staff were nice diamondhead would likely have my vehicle in for a steering repair and a full brake job.Due to the comically poor treatment from staff I am motivated to look for other shops, I really would of preffered to just use the shop that inspected it. Staff used rude tones, insults, silly gestures and noises, I even felt the need to use de escalation tactics during my customer service experience.I left and all I had to tell of my experience was I felt like I was on punked or in a mad TV skit"To the owner - I apologize for airing my experience publicly I looked for an option to privately voice my service concerns. I wish your business success."

Service is always top notch. The guys are friendly and are very efficient. Wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else since we discovered how good Diamond Head is.

1. Did not inspect vehicle appropriately to locate all causes of the problem2. Did not test it properly after completing the first repair and proceeded to lie about how the checked it3. Did not start repair after we said yes4. Replaced a part despite us declining5. No covers were in the car (as other mechanics use to keep the car from getting dirty during repairs); would have expected this during covid...We definitely will not be going back here again. Would rather find a new shop to have services done. I never write bad reviews and despite everything that happened to us I still feel bad for writing a bad review for a local business but customers need to be well informed of what they are getting themselves into

Had a breakdown nearby and brought the car in. It was clear to me that it was serious engine trouble. They misdiagnosed the problem and said I needed new spark plugs (that were previously replaced 15,000km ago) and that the thermostat housing was leaking. Quoted me $950 to fix. I authorized the work and then they called back to tell me that then needed authorization to take a further look at the engine. THEN, they told me that it needed $4,500 worth of work. Ultimately, they charged me $570 and returned a broken car to me. Very disappointed with this experience. They should have correctly diagnosed the issue in the first instance.
