As an indigenous person I have been let down once again. I experience this at banks, doctor and dental clinics and so on. Once again by Alpine Clinic when I reached out for help. They set up appointments for me then cancelled on me. This is not ok but I guess I should have better by now.

Tara Read is incredible. I've tried many people, but I find her the best, and so down to earth. :) She challenges my way of thinking, while creating a safe and healing space for me to open up entirely.I have made so much progress since I started with her. The issues I have when I come in feel much more manageable when I leave. Thank you for helping me find my power :)Lastly, she allows me the space to book when it feels best for me and my budget, which I really appreciate.

Claire Maisonneuve along with her incredible team have done an absolutely outstanding job at creating a space for people to feel safe, heard, respected, understood, and truly truly cared for. From the first time you call Alpine, and every other time after that - you’ll feel the warmth and compassion of absolutely every human you meet that’s working there. Claire has somehow managed to recruit the most lovely people that you could ever work with. It didn’t take long for the reception staff to know and greet me by name every time I went there. I was always greeted with such warm welcomes every time I visited. There’s something really special about that. A friend that I met through my work highly recommended Alpine Counselling. After a late night of working in the restaurant that we work in, we both had a huge heart-to-heart conversation and I let her in on some struggles I was having. She excitedly told me about this unbelievable therapy called “Direct Nuerofeedback” that was offered at Alpine Counselling. She strongly urged that I give it a try and she spoke so highly of all the staff at Alpine. I took her advice and reached out. The lovely receptionist made me feel comfortable enough to share with her some of the difficulties I was facing and she booked me a free initial consultation with the director, Claire Maisonneuve. Claire was so very kind on that first call. It felt so easy to just open up and let her in on some very traumatizing issues I was facing. She felt that Nuerofeedback could be a very good new way of therapy for me. I completely trusted her recommendation and booked an intake appointment with Yvonne Hung. I feel blessed to have been lucky enough to be connected with such an amazing human. It’s very clear that Yvonne is a natural empath. It’s easy to see that she really does care about you and that she wants the best for you. It was so easy to talk to her while she administered the Nuerofeedback sessions. Nuerofeedback changed my life in a gigantic way. Honestly, it feels like someone just waved a magic wand and I was ok. I don’t quite know how to describe it. All I can say is, I was in panic mode 24/7, I was crippled with anxiety, I was living in terror - and somehow, after a few Nuerofeedback treatments, these bad symptoms just seemed to get easier to manage each week. Several months later, and I feel incredible, much better than I’ve ever felt. I completed most of my Nuerofeedback sessions with Yvonne but anytime she wasn’t available I met withAmanda Gresko. Amanda is such a bubbly human with such a big personality. I loved the sessions I had with her which were usually full of laughter. I was also very lucky to have in person counselling sessions with Maxfield Krauss. I normally wouldn’t connect well with Male counsellors so I was slightly worried when I was initially teamed up with Max. He immediately made me feel totally comfortable enough to really open up to him. Visiting Max every week really helped me to overcome a few things. Max used a therapy called “Brain Spotting” which was really effective at reducing the anxiety associated with past traumas. He helped me to safely bring up these traumas and address them in a safe place. My experience from start to finish has been out of this world with Alpine Counselling. If you need people to listen to you, understand you and care for you enough to want to see you succeed, then give this place a try. I’ll be forever grateful that I was linked up with Alpine. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. Allan

I was recommended to Alpine Counselling in November 2022. I've suffered from anxiety for most of my life, and had done some talk therapy, which helped to understand the anxiety. Still, the physiological response has always been debilitating. I had not heard of neurofeedback before and did my research on it. It was so interesting to learn that its positive effects on mental health could be experienced from the first session. I was skeptical, as most people are, understandably: is that even possible?!I'm proud to say that from my first session at Alpine, my life has completely changed. I feel so relaxed after each session, and in my every day life. The butterflies in my stomach are virtually non-existent. I feel more confident socially and I feel in control of my life. I also feel more emotionally resilient in challenging situations - the anxiety doesn't get the best of me and I can focus objectively. And overall, I just feel ready for the world and to be my best self. I'm still completely shocked in the best way possible that I'm not as anxious as I used to be, and how much the quality of my busy life has improved as a result. It feels good to not be my own worst enemy, and I'm happy that I did my research, took a chance, and went for this. Read about it, speak with the kind people at the clinic, and try it out. Turns out it IS possible to feel better, and all you need to do is show up.

I first tried SSP 1 year ago and was quite skeptical but very open to the process, as my job has quite stressful periods where things are fast-paced and intense. I didn't feel immediate results from the process but didn't have adverse reactions either. About 2 months after starting the program and 1 month after completing it, I went into the most stressful contract I've ever done in my job and found myself more able to cope than I was even in lower stakes, more manageable contracts. I felt calmer, more focused, more empathetic and, most importantly, less reactionary. It was much easier to see problems as just complications, rather than experiencing them as threats that would impact my well-being. I really noticed that my fight-or-flight response was dulled, I felt more whole in myself which meant that I was better able to make rational decisions rather than reacting to an innate base impulse towards safety. This meant that I was better at my job as I understood the priorities of the task at hand more quickly and spent less time thinking about my own emotional safety and more on addressing the crisis of the moment. Before this process, I hadn't really realized how often I reacted from this instinctual place of fear.I'm sure the results track in my personal life as well, though I haven't noticed such a marked shift. I expect that I'm more rational and reasonable, or empathetic, in friendships and relationships, but it's hard to tell as obviously in these areas. I would imagine if you're someone who is easily wounded in personal relationships and who feels their emotional safety is threatened by conflict, SSP would likely be incredibly helpful.I have been able to see all kinds of conflict in a new way now, viewing it more as a puzzle to be solved with another person rather than an attack on my emotional home" or safe space (for lack of a more nuanced term!)I just went through another round of SSP and am looking forward to the benefits. On this round

My family does the Neurofeedback at this clinic and it has been life changing for all of us! We started coming here last year - August of 2022 for our 4 year old son who was having crazy meltdowns, it was hard for him to communicate and he would just shutdown after the smallest things (needing to sit down for dinner, holding our hand while crossing the street, etc.) it was beyond exhausting to say the least ! After his first session of neurofeedback we noticed a Huge difference - his ability to ‘bounce back’, his ability to communicate his feelings! He went from 4-5 meltdowns/day to maybe 1-2 a Month (and they were like nothing compared to before) - and this literally started after the first session!Because of how much it helped our son - we all decided to try it and it has helped all of us in different ways.. anxiety has gone down, the ability to bounce back after let downs, our daughters reading in school has improved.. the whole dynamic of our family has changed in the most amazing way!So we are beyond thankful for this clinic and how they’ve helped our family!! All the staff here are so kind and so wonderful :) They’re super thorough here and tailor each session to what will benefit you specifically!Even though we’ve all done over 20 sessions each - we continue to to go every week/every other week because we still feel the difference :)Thanks so much to everyone at Alpine Clinic XO

Maryam has been amazing with my teenage son. She relates very well to him and his helped him through a very difficult time, for which I am so grateful. We went to see a few different counselors to help before we found her that did not work out, so I am glad I found her. Her energy is amazing, she's always there to help and I highly recommend her.

Neurofeedback helps retrain your brain and address the dysregulation head-on. Through this training, your brain creates new pathways so that it can go back to functioning normally and you find long-term relief from the symptoms you're experiencing. Nurofeedback can re-balance the dysregulation that is causing anxiety. Now anxiety can be a bit stubborn because it is quite complex but once the Neurofeedback sessions help the brain to find balance, everything comes good. I recommend this clinic if you are thinking of receiving this non-invasive treatment.

My son recently had the pleasure of working with Maryam who truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked into her office, we felt welcomed and comfortable. She had a kind and compassionate demeanor that immediately put me at ease. In addition to her professionalism and expertise, she is also incredibly supportive and understanding. Maryam has always made us feel like she genuinely cared about our well-being.I highly recommend Maryam to anyone in need of support and guidance. She is truly an asset to the field of counselling, and I am grateful for the progress I am seeing in my son!

I really appreciated the chance to experience SSP with Holly as my counsellor. Listening to the music was very grounding and allowed me to take time to calm my brain and body as I focussed on listening. Listening in this way, I experienced deep relaxation.Holly was a wonderful support. She explained things well and offered advice on how to get the most out of my SSP sessions. The reception staff who I dealt with were very efficient and pleasant to deal with. They were patient with my questions and very responsive.Thank you to everyone for the warm support and guidance in my SSP journey.
