Good croissants! I had a craven this morning and this high-glam bakery did not disappoint. The pastry had a traditional approach, balanced, buttery and delicate. Personally, a little too flaky for my preference.

I don’t think I can buy bread from anywhere else!Their sourdough is not too sour and baked to perfection - get it sliced if you like yours thin and crispy. Sooooo perfect for avocado toasts, steak tartare, roasted bone marrow, charcuterie, etc.Baguette was also perfect just like the ones you get in France. If I had to choose between LB and Blackbird, it would be La Boulangerie 10000 times over.

This place has everything. Incredible snacks, finely made pastries, smoothies, French grocery items, and a wonderful owner! You’ll be hard pressed to find a better cafe in the area.

This bakery had a lot of variety of bread and treats! The butter croissant was light. I personally prefer a richer and more buttery flavour but it was still good.We also got the brioche. I’ve never had brioche before and I actually didn’t really it but again, I think that’s a personal preference and doesn’t reflect the quality of the bakery. The carrot cake was really good! It had some citrus or orange notes to it which makes this carrot cake stand out from others! There weren’t any mini lemon tarts left but I’d like to come back to try one!

Given the reviews for this place, and the price of the croissants, I was expecting a lot more. The plain croissant was dry and not at all buttery. Though we got them first thing in the morning they had the texture of day olds. Sorry, but would not recommend.

Incredible sandwiches and desserts! Been here several times and I always enjoy the breakfast sandwich and chocolate croissant. I like that they always have seasonal products, highlighting the fruit in season. Coffee is also good. This is the place if you’re looking for high quality bread and pastries around Trinity Bellwoods area!

Everything they bake is outstanding, serious sourdough, the brioche is some of the best I ever tried! On the dessert front the chocolate cake and the banana bread are dangerously good, especially if you live close by!

Stopped for a quick espresso and snack…which made me hungry for a ham and cheese croissant! Everything was fresh and delicious. The espresso was extracted perfectly. The service was friendly and charming. Next time I’m coming back for the brioche! Highly recommended.

This is the best pain au chocolat (or chocolatine) I have had in the city. Having lived in Montreal for 5 years, I have a great affinity for flaky French pastries and never in my four months in this city have I tried one that holds its own like this. I highly recommend. The store is also charming and the sourdough is delicious.
