Huntsville Downs Golf Course

I really enjoy this golf course and play it about 3-4 times each summer when I'm up in Magnetawan. The greens are immaculate, the staff is friendly. Only downfall is that there are not m(any) food options for vegetarians.

The volunteers are friendly but the owner is mean as a snake. The course is in pretty good condition with nobody on it. Price is much higher than last year and twice as much as a better course in port Sidney 15 minutes down the road. Likely my last time here after being a loyal regular last year. Tired of being treated poorly by ownership. Time for a new owner.

Really love coming here. Great course with some cool holes. Staff has been nothing but friendly as well.

1st time out! Live here so no clue why the hold up. I do find the 1st, 9 holes rather close to each other so you better hit straight. And the last round of golf at 3pm so we couldn't get 18 in. They say wolves spotted in back 9 at dusk. Maybe the sheep farm across the road to belame.Greens are nice, fairways are good. Turkeys everywhere but over all an amazing price point. 80 ish for 2 and cart after 3pm. Fall colors starting so it's pretty. Dated club house, new carts. Will play again.

Great course, plays a little long and is great for beginners and mediocre golfers.The sights are beautiful and the greens are well maintained. They play slow.There was an incident with us on the golf course where one of my buddies ran over the shrubs and we did not notice. Granted it was our fault, but the staff treated it terribly. We were putting in our final hole, this is a gentleman sport and every moment of silence is needed. The staff marched into the green yelling at us to leave immediately. We obeyed and left. But this is not the right way of dealing with a problem of running over a bush with a cart.Part form the incident this place was great and would go again.

Course itself is great, no complaints.The Starter made a group of us rent clubs, even though we were playing scramble, because sharing slows the game down". Except we had to wait behind multiple groups because at throughout our 9 holes.And the worst - the Marshal we encountered. Seemed like he felt the need to babysit us and hover throughout 75% of our time there. Making unecessary comments towards novice golfers. No need to harass responsible

We had the great pleasure of playing the back 9 holes with my brother and sister in law. What a beautiful course! It was busy, but it was in great shape, and the fees were very reasonable. Most notable was the presence of the field Marshall who was on the course to make sure that everyone was able to play safely. This course has been designed so that it is challenging, yet spacious. The fairways are well-groomed and the greens are beautiful. The mature tree line on the fairways and pathways to the next tees give you a sense of peace and beauty. What a great experience! The staff was friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning to play 18!!!!.

When we arrived at the course they were backed up and our tee time was delayed by 30 mins (we arrived 20 mins early). The Marshall then rushed our game to accommodate his friends playing behind us, followed us through 6/9 holes, and complained we were taking too long. The Marshall asked us to skip holes, he asked the men to play from the lady tee boxes and the women to play from the kid tee boxes to speed the game up. The Marshall told us that if we didn't know how to golf to come at an earlier time and not when the professionals are playing. We felt extremely insulted, and treated very poorly as guests to this course, definitely not coming back to this course.

Second time golfing here! Was horrified to hear how much the game cost with a cart! Quite the hike in price explains why the course is empty it should have been packed on such a beautiful day!

Course itself was fine, but the Marshall felt the need to harass us on multiple occasions and threaten to “send us to the front desk” because we teed off a hole with the other half of the guys we came with so the group behind us didn’t have to wait too long.There’s literally no reason to golf here when there are other courses in the area - do yourself a favour and avoid these guys who clearly have nothing better to do than bother paying customers
