I applied online early in April and sent cheques to open an account for myself and my wife. On April 20, I received a call that my cheque was returned by CIBC saying NO ACCOUNT". I spent several hours calling my branch and every level at CIBC

I've been a member of Aterna Savings and it's predecessors for over 30 years. Reasonable fees combined with personal service. I don't live near a branch, but went into the Lake Shore branch today and was met with friendly, helpful employees. Going into the branch I felt welcomed as a person and not just a number.

I really can't say enough about this branch. After years spent with regular banks, the lengths to which Laura and the team at Alterna have gone to in an effort to give us the best rates and best service is nothing short of shocking.
