First Alliance Church Calgary (FAC Deerfoot)

Wow! It's like a country club. They have everything. Play area for the kids, cafe, coffee, bookstore, library, etc. I didn't feel particularly spiritually fed. Im assuming with all the workers here they don't believe in a true Sabbath rest and giving your workers a day of rest. I didn't feel comfortable with young people leading the praise and worship. Biblical principles show that the older should lead the younger not the younger leading the older. I didn't care for the praise and worship music. The facility was comfortable and the people were friendly. There was no real message on seeking a deep personal relationship with God, studying God's word and seeking for yourself.

Big church building, very clean with great amenities, large atrium, gymnasium, bookstore, 2 cafes, playground for toddlers 3 and under. Ample parking around building and street parking surrounding the area.

It was such a privilege to perform here over the years up until the untimely departure of former director of music Jason Erhardt. This venue is a phenomenally well designed production auditorium with second-to-none production equipment, and phenomenally helpful audiovisual and stage staff. I hope to perform here again one day. Big church with many classes available, more recently a class was added that I think is very relevant to today’s society, “Spiritually & Mental Health”. They also offer Celebrate Recovery, Pre-marriage classes, Divorce Care & so many other ways to connect. Clean, friendly, welcoming & inviting church with a convenient South, just off Deerfoot, (south of Anderson Dr), location. Lots of parking & entrances, a welcoming cafeteria, great children & youth programs & so much more.

Extremely woke Liberal church - if that is what you're looking for. Last week the Pastor praised the controversial Asbury event repeatedly. Earlier he had used an historic quote from the 17th century in which humanity is referenced using man's" - he actually stopped to apologize for the "non-inclusive" language. Good place for feel-good

A great and amazing Church to worship. Lovely, friendly, theologically educated, and spirit-filled ministers and members. The Church building is massive, spacious, beautiful, and elegant. They have many rooms and meeting halls suitable for small and large meetings. They have lots of parking spaces and different entrances- West, East, South, and North.

Beautiful building. It's absolutely huge. I've driven past on the Deerfoot but have never been inside until now. Very impressive space with a massive theater area. Very nice.

Attended Good Friday worship service! What a meaningful service … we were not spectators but participants throughout the brief but very spirit-led and spirit-filled service. The songs, music, and spoken word were all very impactful for me. I appreciated the opportunity to contemplate the meaning and practical application of Christ’s sacrifice for me and then join others at the foot of the cross for worship and prayer. POWERFUL and transformative!!

I am not a religious person but the staff running the food bank at this church is super friendly and helpful. They noticed my pronoun pin and gendered me correctly, which showed me their allyship at a particularly vulnerable time in my life. The good vibes this church puts into our community are so valuable. Thank you!!!

Excellent kids programs. Worship music is top notch. Teaching from the pulpit is sound, biblical and relevant. Congregation is friendly. Unfortunately a lot of the amenities have been closed since Covid which is unfortunate in the post pandemic world we are in now. My kids all really miss the bistro and playing with their church friends in the play area. Would like to see a more lively speaker now and again but like I said above, the teaching is sound and biblical just a bit too laid back for my personal preference, but the teaching is true to the Word of God so really who am I to criticize the delivery. Excellent church to plug a family in and hear the Lord speak. Keep up the good work.
