It is a helpful and great gesture of the community to help those having trouble affording food. But recently with the change in the way staff run things and the steady increase of poverty due to high living costs and low income we have more people and less food to go around. Before you could easily last a month off what you got from the food bank but now you'll be lucky to survive 2 weeks forcing people to look for multiple food banks to attend or commit crime just to feed their families.

Helpful for students and newcomers. You can find all essential items but have to check the expiry date carefully. Perishables like bread, meat, vegetables, milk etc will be mostly expired. If you check it properly and pick good products then it would be helpful

It's okay but definitely don't give you much to get you thru a week...

While the service they offer is nice. I am getting sick and tired of the limit being set at the ppl emptying your cart and bagging take food from your cart. This has been an ongoing issue for three months. I have an autistic 3 yr old who Iorequire wipes for and they took them without providing acknowledgement, I am allowed three bread items came home with two and they don't ask which you'd rather loose they just say meh you don't get what you're supposed to and that's unjust. If the limit is incorrect then you fix that prior to allowing people to shop you don't just take things and act as if you don't know what or why it's happened.. DON'T it serlcretly as they have done on three different occasions now. Also many weird rules pancakes or syrup either or makes no sense tbh kinda need both unless you DON'T eat one..A family of one gets 12 eggs that's 12 days of eggs. While a family of 5 also get one carton of eggs. That's two mornings of eggs at one egg per person. Maybe consider cutting the cartons In Halves for single people or in fours and elastic it makes more sense. Imo

I went to the food bank today and was given croissants that can be used as hockey pucks and r inedible. Along with month old raisin bread that's moldy and produce that's soft and mushy .. I believe it would be easier to find edible food out of someone's organic box. I use the food bank only when I need to and put most of what is given to me in the food boxes outside of churches BC to someone like me I cannot eat old rotten food or month old food .. I am given protein powders and no milk but watch others get bags of milk or produce trays or gingerbread houses .. I guess it's more important to get adult diapers then edible food .. sad another month with little or no food .. still struggling for help...
