Authentic antique styled barbershop in the heart of downtown Niagara. Very simple online booking. Brandon and Ryan are two of the most skilled barbers in the region. Rest assured you’re gonna leave here looking good.

I had to make an ad-hoc appointment and found Proper Hare through Google based on reviews. I was able to drop in the same day and had a good experience with Nick.Once home I found out the fade was not completely what I expected. I picked up the phone and received excellent after service. Nick had another customer in his chair once I arrived so Brandon listened to my feedback and delivered an excellent job.Thank you for the great service gents, I will definitely come back if i’m in the area.Cheers!

I have been here 4 times twice with Ryan and twice with the apprentice and both cut hair extremely well great place to get a hair cut

Absolutely amazing. 6/5 Stars.I tried 5 barbers until Ryan at Proper Hare, after my first visit I was set I wouldn't ever go to a different barber. Ryan is absolutely fantastic.The shop has a great atmosphere, I love seeing some antique/historic barber pieces spread out amongst the shop. The prices are good and the service is top tier.definately a 6/5 barber shop.

I got a beard trim here by Brandon and I was super impressed. He did a fantastic job, I don't think my beard has ever looked or felt better. He did straight razor on my neck and cheeks, and the line was very sharp and clean. The service here is top notch, very professional and experienced barbers. I love the old time feel of the place and the decor. A classic barbershop feel. I would definitely recommend Proper Hare to any guy looking for a great haircut or beard trim.

I was in for a hot towel shave and haircut with Brandon for the first time at this establishment.I received a warm welcome and pleasantly waited for my appointment.I was happy to know that he had trained with my previous barber.The skill and knowledge of straight razor shaves is a craft that not everyone can do.Brandon was instructive in all the steps of the shave and haircut . I would recommend these gentlemen and their establishment for anyone who wants a real barbershop experience.

Ryan is as offensive as he is talented which is extremely so. Your shock as to what gets discussed inside the shop is only equaled by the look on your face when he spins you around to look into the mirror. Your beauty which only 30 minutes ago was covered by a shaggy mess of a mop is now revealed for the world to see. I do not look forward to any appointment more than my trip to Proper Hare.....also although authoritarian in nature the owner and overload of the shop Brandon is equally as talented and entertaining.Thanks gents

Found Proper Hare after moving to Niagara on the Lake. This is one of the best Barber Ships I have been to. Brandon is a skilled Barber and always great to chat to. They have their own hair products which are great, I use the pomade and love it.The booking system works great, just make sure to book in advance as they book up fast!

Brandon is amazing. He helped fix my hair. Did a rad Mohawk and fade. Super happy!!! The vibe is dope. Definitely recommend this barbershop m. Absolutely 5 stars.

I grew my yeard ( year long beard) and was looking for a place to trim and style it. When I first walked into Proper Hare I felt a great vibe and was greeted like they knew me for a long time. Ryan trimmed my beard and did an amazing job. I told him what I wanted and he delivered. I highly recommend these guys for your cut, I received nothing but complements after my trim. Thanks Ryan
