We have had great experiences in Acme Foods with the staff who are polite, helpful & happy. Except when the owners wife is working.When I first went in there she followed me around, asking if I needed help" aggressively. I went to the checkout and she said "Is that all?!" I said "yes"... She then asked me "what's in your pocket? "I said "pardon you?!" This is one of the many awkward stressful situations she has put me in. I was taught you treatpeople how you want to be treated. I eventually gave her a piece of my mind after all the verbal abuse."

Very helpful.... you will get everything in that store no need to go anywhere.

The new owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of items, reasonable pricing for a small town and the store is very clean.

BEWARE!!The owner and his wife will over charge you mass amounts of money and then call the cops and flat out lie to them when you dispute it LOL! Thankful for recorded calls!!The owner and his wife are not good people. They treat their customers like they're peasants.Small town stores shouldn't be alienating residents when they're literally why you have a business :)Just saying.

It's a variety store pretending to be a grocery store. Everything is way overpriced.

We went in and realized they had ice cream. My husband and I decided it would be a nice treat. There was a girl working there by the ice cream counter, we stood there for over 5 minutes and she didn’t even acknowledge us. She looked at us but nothing. So we went to the front to pay for our stuff and we had to wait yet again. We were the only people in the store. Finally she came up from the back and we paid for our stuff and left. Not friendly and poor service. Can’t say we will be back.

Really enjoyed the food. The onion rings were some of the best I have ever tried.

The new owners are pleasant if you need to find something just ask and they will show you if there free from customers at the till then they will give you the isle to where to find it nice pleasant place to shop

Most unfriendly store I’ve ever encountered. We went in to buy some drinks. I came across a man near the back and said hi. He didn’t acknowledge me. I asked a direct question and he just ignored me and walked away. So I went to the front counter to pay and had to wait. So we called out Hello! Finally a different person came up and we paid I won’t be back.

I have NEVER experienced such unprofessionalism in a store. I work in customer service and if I treated any customer the way I was treated today I would not be in customer service anymore. I came in with my boyfriend to receive cash back. I thought I had to buy a coffee first so I went up to the counter, to find out it is an extra dollar if I want cash back. I only had $21.50 and it came up to $22.50 so I explained I did not have enough to get the coffee only the cash back. She then proceeded to raise her voice at me and my boyfriend because she chose the wrong size coffee and over charged, so we explained that and she got even more frustrated , until the point of screaming, where she then proceeded to tell me I did not know simple math and told me I was basically an idiot. When we questioned her on why she was being so aggressive she accused us of being the issue saying we were being difficult and she was only being assertive. She then continued to scream, and belittle me as she threatened to call my boyfriends mom. As this was happening we were standing there completely calm. Of course we are not gonna be pleased by this, and we left after she charged me for the coffee even though I told her I did not want it and I just wanted my $20.00. She then proceeds to follow my boyfriends mom around in the store a few hours later as she was buying something from the store, began to corner her and yell at her, and threaten saying that her son is not allowed in her store anymore. I have never in my years of experience working in customer service treated a customer or seen a customer be treated the way that I was. If you want to be treated with respect I’d suggest going to the Linden store instead.
