La Fromagerie

Wow, this is a new discovery for me. Excellent selection of cheeses, and great service. [Yes, Vincenzo's has more, but it's a zoo. You get much more personal service here.] Looks like the stock rotates fairly often, so I'll definitely be back soon.

Absolutely delightful to speak with the owners and staff who were just so friendly and so lovely even though I think I was a bit annoying when I was in there (sorry!). They have a splendid selection of cheeses, including ones that are much harder to find outside of certain seasons and certain stores (like comte, which is one of my favorites). I love cheese, and will definitely be making this my one stop shop when I’m craving something more than commercially packaged cheddar (like black diamond or Cracker Barrel).

I have gotten both cheese and a chercuterie board from La Fromagerie.The cheese that I purchased on it's own was fantastic. They have a brie that melts in your mouth.Unfortunately the chercuterie board was lacking. They provide you with a board, but make sure you have multiple cheese knives because it is all comes in large blocks. Also 1/2 of the fruit on the board I had to immediately throw away because it was visibly rotten.

Adam is the most kind and patient proprietor. We just love this cheese shop! He provided the cheese for our wedding and everyone was overwhelmed by the quality and taste, we return often and love supporting local small businesses that care like Adam does. - Scott and Cathy

Wonderful addition to Waterloo! Unlike the Monty Python cheese shop, there is a great selection of product here, from different parts of Canada, and from around the world. I want to give a quick nod to the courage that comes from opening a place like this in the middle of a pandemic. I sincerely hope that they do well, because I'm looking forward to exploring that selection in the future.

Amazing find in Waterloo. They carried a French butter we were looking for. Adam and his mom were full of useful information and the store had so much quality products to choose from in addition to just cheeses. Will definitely be going back!

Excellent products and service.We are French. My son lives in Waterloo, on, ca. I wished to send French cheese and bread for his birthday but could not do this easily from France, especially with the limitations on transports during the pandemic. I found La Fromagerie on the web and called Cindy. She has been very kind and helpful. The board was delivered on time and as agreed, nicely presented, with delicious and high quality products!Many thanks again, Cindy!

I visited this shop recently since I had read about it in a newspaper article. I LOVED my first experience there so much! I ordered a Charcuterie Board for a close friend's birthday and received excellent service by the owner's son, Adam. I loved the decor and charm of this unique gourmet store and gelato bar (they serve Christopher's Gelato!) I tried the raspberry vegan gelato and it was perfect for the hot day I had experienced that day. Being in there felt like I had been transported to France for a glorious 30 minutes - Formidable!! I highly recommend this beautiful store for the service, selections and its uniqueness. My Charcuterie Board was a huge surprise for my friend and her family. This store is perfectly located with enough parking and it is in the same plaza as Sabletine, a convenience store, and a delicious pizza place which I will have to try one day. Thank YOU, Adam and Cindy for your Superb and memorable service; I am very thankful and shall return!

Great shop filled with delicious cheeses and meats among other treats. Adam and his mom were a pleasure to talk to and get to know. We will certainly be back for more D'Isigny butter and to pick up some comté and saucisson. Thank you for providing such a great shop in KW!
