Love this place. Has been a go to for a while now. Food is always delicious. You can get homemade chips and guacamole and tortillas too. Staff so sweet.

I am actually surprised about the high star rating this place it has and I feel deceived by it. I ordered a Mexican salad bowl with chicken and a burrito. Each $13 dollars. The portion is very small for price. The burrito is smaller than my hand - it looks more like a small panini about the size of Iphone 11. The beef didn’t have much flavour. The chicken is bland and overcooked. We basically had to order another lunch somewhere else to fill ourselves. The tortilla chips in the salad bowl are fresh and crisp which is the best bit of the meal. Otherwise nothing to write home about.

Ignore all the lame white people in the reviews whining about the size of their burritos. This place is bomb and they should stay home eating white people wraps with unseasoned ground beef, pace pacante sauce and ranch.The tacos are some of the best I’ve had in BC. Hands down. You can tell everything is in house made and the seasoning was on point.Sorta pricey? Yes. Everything is pricey for small businesses that aren’t pumping out volume so that’s kinda expected at these places. But I’m my opinion this place is a winner.

I have been ordering takeout here for years and the food has always been delicious. Tonight I ordered online (I usually phone but was in a rush). I normally get the burrito with poblano peppers and cheese. I couldn’t find it on the online menu, but there was a vegetarian option and I assumed this was it. Boy was I wrong! I got a horrible burrito with rock hard rice that must have been scraped off the bottom of a pot, with no cheese! Please change your online menu to make it more clear what people are purchasing for 16$ (rice, beans, and guacamole…that’s it). A very disappointing meal.

Was really looking forward to trying this place after enjoying a great dinner at Originals. Ordered eight tacos between us - tortillas were not sufficiently warmed, the ribeye upcharge of $2.50 for an already $4.50 tiny taco proved to be pointless as the steak did not taste anything like ribeye quality. Could have just ordered steak. Chicken cilantro was bland. Adobo was passable. Pork items were better tasting.Service, however, was not at all what I expected given the high prices - the woman at the counter was busy preparing food and put far too little effort into service. We were left feeling like we were interrupting her work. I also got the impression that Mercado is the prep kitchen for Originals and that Mercado food sales are an afterthought.I always recommend Originals to people, so I expected much, much more of Mercado than what I found.

The quality and the taste of the food is amazing. However, the servers there are always making mistakes for my order, either it’s a pick up, or delivery on third party apps. I have had wrong items from your restaurant for several times, and hadn’t received my drink if it was a delivery. Even when I ordered there for to go, I saw that I got my tacos wrong when I got home!If you fix this problem, as a customer, I’d be much happier!

Probably the best take out mexican in this area! Especially if you are craving Originals but don't have the time for sitting in. Would highly suggest the burritos large size and fills me up.

We order out every so often. love their Originals full resto. But every order at this place has had something off (e.g., size of burrito different, flavour changes, quantity of food, long wait times in spite of ordering ahead). Today was kind of the last drop. These are their chilaquiles"
