Penningtons is always friendly helpful store. Went in to look just to see what was in there? Not sure what I wanted. Ended up walking out with an outfit. One lady told me of there new line in and the specials also. I was very impressed. Thank you so much.

They had what my wife needed and the store clerks were very helpful

I used to LOVE this place. I used to be greeted when I entered through the doors. I used to spend about $400 every 2 weeks for almost a year, so I was a pretty big spender...But in the past year or so, a rude woman with shoulder length black hair and glasses was hired. I think her name is Natalie. She does not greet you at the door, or even talk to you at all, even at the till. She seems to be working every time I come to Penningtons. It makes me sad because I used to have such fond thoughts of this store. I used to be a valued customer, but now I'm treated like a customer at McDonald's.Let me preface this by saying: each time I come to the store, It's not busy. There are maybe 2-3 shoppers in there in total.When she is working, I have had to escort myself to the change room multiple times, and look for an open stall myself (normally there is a sales associate to help you).Then comes time to pay, She stands at the till and doesn't make conversation. I have tried many times talking to her: how is your day going, nice weather out there, etc. She gives a half smile and doesn't say anything.Once I spent over $500 and I forgot to hand over my CAA card for a discount, I caught it after I had already paid and I asked what could be done. She looked at me, sighed, and said that nothing can be done, i had missed my chance. She acted like i really inconvenienced her! This really was her responsibility to ask if I had a CAA Card anyways!I talked to another sales associate about this later, and she said that protocol would have been to refund all the items and scan them back in and apply the discount.She has also lied about sales items repeatedly. Telling me things are 40% off and charging me full price!She also does not compliment you on any clothes you are wearing, even if you ask her how it looks. I believe this is also Penningtons protocol to compliment women and make them feel proud in the clothing, not shrug your shoulders and walk off!!I have talked to who i think is a supervisor and she didn't seem to take my story seriously. She just agreed with me and said they have received multiple complaints. If so many complaints are being put forward, then why not do something about it!?!A few times I have just gone to the other side of town to go to Penningtons because I can't deal with this individual. I have also walked out of the store a couple times upon seeing her working at the time!!I hope Penningtons realizes that their sales will go up if they provide this girl some more training and maybe show her how to be kind!I hate to be so negative, but this employee has made me hate my favorite store. I just hope that Penningtons HQ gets involved and helps this employee learn a little more about the nature of this establishment. I'm a professional, successful business woman, so I know how a business should be run. Penningtons used to be a place I felt so welcomed at. The other staff are nice to me, I just haven't seen them in forever, because I can't go during the day anymore.I don't know if I'm disliked because I am PLUS SIZED, I sure hope not, because that is the premise of the store, but if that is the case, I WILL be taking my business elsewhere.I have also called many times to ask to speak to the manager about this experience, and sent emails, no response has been provided to me. I really hope that Penningtons North Albert consults this employee and re-trains her on the protocols of the store, with all of this time off!!! Perhaps putting her with another staff member to work, would be a start and the other staff member could show her how to be friendly and treat customers kindly! This is my last chance to this store, and I hope for some rectification and an apology issued to me.I DO NOT want her to get fired, but this is my last plea to just please train her better!(By the way, I used to have a 5 star review, but I had to delete it to leave this review, but this is important that my story gets heard!)

Friendly staff and a great selection of clothing for plus sized woman. One of my favorites.

Always great service and HONEST opinions on if it looks good or not

Great place for plus sized bras and panties. They sometimes have cute tops and dresses however some of the prints completely ruin the look. They also carry some cute bathing suits, but I personally prefer to wait until they are on clearance as they can be pretty pricy.

I always love the ladies working here. They didn't mind me trying on outfits and spazzing at how lovely it all was.

Great place to find clothes for the more curvy type of woman. The store makes you feel comfortable to shop with associates willing to assist with what you need to find. Very friendly service. Been shopping at this location for years. Only downfall I would say is they don't trend many styles that aren't ruffles or flowers for the younger generations of curvy. They recently have collaborated with Adidas and Fila but wish they had more selection for ages 22 and down.

great staff, great selection, amazing outfits, gorgeous shoes, honestly i love it here because they have sizes that range from a 10 to a 30, theres so much variety, and everything is meant to flatter the women that wear the clothes, i'm so grateful for penningtons

I know I am not alone in this, but the selection at Penningtons has just gone down hill over the past couple years. It is not a reflection of the store I visited, per se. I just find the quality and selection doesn't suit me at all. Bra sizes are extremely limited, there is no such thing as a one piece bathing suit, and the winter jackets will be short in the sleeves every time.The sales ladies are very friendly and always helpful and honest when asked if something fits well or looks ok. They are happy to help find something that fits better or looks nicer, too.
